Ok before I get started I admit I am not an Alton fan really as I find the place to be overhyped beyond all belief and have rides that apart from the excellent Nemesis really dont do much for me.

What you will read below will make it sound like I am a BPB fanboy having a right go at Alton but I am being as objective and balanced as I can, honestly!!

RIDE COUNT

Spinball wizzer - 15
Submission - 1
Oblivion - 1
Corkscrew - 1 (so painfull, my neck went with a right smack going into the Corkscrew)
Hex - 1
Rita - 11
Flume - 1
Nemesis - 16

Total Rides = 47

HIGHLIGHTS

- Spinball ERT, 15 rides in an hour
- Really good ride count for Alton
- Team Rita, superb at there jobs

LOWLIGHTS

- Park far busier than expected
- The people that Alton attracts, spitting all over the place, smoking cannabis openly, totally ignoring the smoking policy at the park, ruining it for others in Hex, yobbish behaviour. Need I go on!! Why does Alton attract such cretins that go so way to ruining you day?
- Three times at three different places I asked for a Diet Coke and Three times I got Coke, thank goodness I am not a Diabetic.
- No single rider queue open on Nemesis
- Nemesis team not bothering batching guests until the last 30 mins, I wonder why!!
- Poor response to a problem from a Nemesis ride op, some lowlife had spat on the seat I was going to be sitting in. You would have thought I had asked him for some money with his response, he was not keen to clean it up and suggested that there was nothing to worry about, sorry but I dont want to sit in a load of spit thank you!!
- No skyride and not enough Monorails on track to cope at the end of the day.

OVERALL

A day that started with so much promise ended with the usual Alton cursing and wondering why we bother with the place, the only reason is one, Nemesis.
However as much as I have slated Alton now it is time for some praise.
We spent the night at the Splash Landings hotel for half price and it has to be said they really do run a superb hotel. The rooms where spotless and the food was great. The lifts were so funny as well with Hawaii 5-0 and captain Pugwash theme music. So for anyone wanting a great night at a Theme park hotel I cannot recomend enough the Splash Landings hotel. So well done Alton for that at least.
