Who went

Me
Caroline

Two really top class days at what I deem to be the second best park after BPB in this country, the weather was scorching and the park was steady rather than being busy.

The staff were top class, great at there jobs and such friendly people as well, so hats off to all the staff at Thorpe. What also made the 2 days better still was the GP, they were normal (not chavy) and were friendly as well.

Sadly due to Caroline hurting herself at Camelot on Knightmare last Saturday she did not get to do many rides not just at Thorpe but the two days after as well. It did however give me chance to use the single ride queue on Stealth a lot.

TUESDAY 13TH MAY

We arrived just before 10am and noticed rather a lot of people at the entrance to Thorpe, but thankfully once spread around it was not too bad. We started and ended the day on Nemesis Inferno which was running so smooth it was scary. It made Kraken look rough!!!

RIDE COUNT

Nemesis Inferno - 9
Detonator - 8
Stealth - 14
Colossus - 1
Rush - 2
Flying Fish - 1

Total rides = 35

WEDNESDAY 14TH MAY

We arrrived to some bad news, about a third of the park was without power which was of concern as it would mean that the queues for the rides with power would buid up quickly. But Thorpe made a great decision, they moved staff around from the shut rides and operated the open rides on full capacity until the other part of the park was open.

RIDE COUNT

Nemesis Inferno - 14
Detonator - 10
Stealth - 9
Rush - 1
Flying Fish - 2
Zodiac - 1
Teacups - 1

Total rides = 38

HIGHLIGHTS

- Great weather
- Fantastic ride staff
- Great response by Thorpe to the power problem
- Two days at a Merlin park and the GP were normal people
- Stealth is amazing, bring on Top Thrill Dragster
- Bumped into Brian of BPB and RCCGB fame

LOWLIGHTS

- From Tuesday not a single one, such a great day.
- Wednesday, Stealth had a very bad day. So many break downs I lost count, on Tuesday it ran perfect without a problem but Wednesday it was not happy.

OVERALL

Great fun and a must for thrill seekers, just a shame it is so far away.

Photos to follow tomorrow
