Excellent move, at least the bags will arrive intact, however we booked carpark and digs at T5 in March which is not transferable, i dont think it will be much of an issue just concerned about getting from T5 to T4 is it far? how much is a Taxi? How long will it take? etc etc.
4 weeks and 5 days to go i cant wait. been watching cedar point footage on TPR website 'looks awesome'. Shocked

No problem!

To get from Terminal 5 to Terminal 4 just take the free bus transfer.  It takes around 12 to 15 minutes. Services 482, 490 and 724 stop at the T5 bus station (next to Terminal) and then stop outside Terminal 4.

Hi, just spoke to the casino - dress code is smart casual (jeans and t-shirts  are ok but no shorts or offensive slogan t-shirt).
Membership is instant (as UK now - the 24hr law changed) but you will need photo id (driving license or passport).
The casino features 2,700 fruit machines (which they call slots), plus blackjack and roulette (ill have some 'how to play' guides with me on the flight if anyone wants one).  Plus there are three restaurants, three bars and according to the PR lady I spoke to they have the most eye-pleasing cocktail servers on the East Coast (her words!).
We plan to leave our hotel at 8.00pm to head to the casino (transport will be provided).

NOTE: The Club cannot sub anyone so only take what you are prepared to lose and don't use your holiday spending money! (leave that and all credit cards back at the hotel).

GamCare provides support, information and advice to anyone suffering through a gambling problem.

I fancy the casino thing.........I am not intending to get destroyed but is the casino similar to those in Vagas in that the drinks are free?

Ha! there is no escape, not even at 10,000ft! To make up for that shot, maybe someone will take a pic of me acting all brave on Kinda and TTD, and delete all the ones of me with a terrified expression on my mug Smile

I really like the postcards and the laminated tag.

I actually saw the tag before the trip badge and initially thought the tag itself would be worn on the lanyard for ID Smile

Nev's 'how to prepare' list is a classic!

As one of the many USA Virgins on the trip.  found the info to be great and funny as well. I think I will be ready to leave in a week Saturday shame we have to wait 4 more weeks Saturday. Is it really that close I am getting excited. I plan to hit a Theme Park when we land back in the UK if anyone wants to Join us for a Stealth ride. I know it will be no TTD but it will be like going to Thorpe on one day to ride Stealth and Alton then next for Rita.

Just an update to let you all know about the trip on down to Sesame Place on the first night of the Koaster Krazy Tour to ride the Vapor Trail coaster.

We shall be using the 2 mini-vans with 6 seats each in each vehicle. The cost shall be $5 per person for the return journey. Leaving the hotel around 17.30 - 1800 and returning at 19.30 so as to arrive at the hotel by 8pm.

The first mini-van is full and there are 6 seats still available on the second mini-van. Drop me a line at mark_blundellATntlworld.com [replace the AT with @] if you wish to come.

Entry into the park after 4pm is $29.50, but once numbers are known, I will be contacting them to try and arrange a special rate.

All six of our group are already in the Kingda Ka mini van. I know me, smiler and Carol are wanting to do this park. I should also think Steve Caine and Rachel will too. So book us all in.

T4 looks pretty near definite now.  BA have just announced the following:-

Terminal moves

The next phase of our longhaul flight move to Terminal 5 will begin on 5 June
British Airways and BAA have confirmed that the first phase of the move of additional longhaul flights into Heathrow Terminal 5 will take place on 5 June.

The services to be moved in this first phase are:

New York (JFK only)
Abuja
Bangalore
Beijing
Cairo
Cape Town
Lagos
Phoenix
The flights above will continue to operate to and from Terminal 4 until 5 June.

At Six Flags Great Adventure on 8/6/2008 there is a concert by Blondie (included in the admission price) so it looks as if the park will be packed that day.

I have just finished folding and stuffing the USA t-shirts.  I will take them to the sorting office in the morning.  They are all first class so you should 'hopefully' receive them on Saturday!
Be warned - they are bright!  Laughing

Just got off the phone to North Coast Jet-ski and Parasail (based at Cedar Point).

I've negotiated massive discounts off the normal price of renting jet-skis or doing some parasailing.  The jet skis are the ultra fast Yamaha's and are great for zooming around Lake Erie (right next to Wicked Twister) and with parasailing taking you up around to 700ft-800ft you can get some fantastic aerial photo's of Cedar Point.

For details check out:

http://soakcity.cedarpoint.com/public/watersports.cfm

I'll let you know exact details in the 'Welcome' pack I'll give you at the airport.
