Having watched the ride animation that Sarah posted, I wonder just how much ride time you get on some of the longer rides - wood or steel.
So, what rides are quite long and where are they?

I'm surprised Mean Streak is shorter than Millennium Force. It felt like the other way around! _________________ Sarah

I'll be interested to hear what you think of Mean Streak. MF is great. Cedar Point is fabulous. _________________ Sarah

Hi Sarah,
At this point I can only imagine how great the whole trip will be - coasters and rides of all kinds, the social aspect with fellow club tripsters, and seeing parts of the US for the first time.
Meanwhile since coming back from BPB, I've been toying with the idea of visiting Alton Towers or Thorpe Park, or going back to BPB - but hey, still plenty of time to fit all those in. _________________ Steve

Please be aware that the moderation team are unhappy with Ryan's attempt to get round the profanity filter! Please remember this is strictly against board rules! |

Mean Streak gave me a migraine. It was the first, and only time, I've ever wanted to get off a coaster. _________________ Sarah

Well said Baz, the moderating team takes bypassing the profanity filter very seriously and offenders could face severe punishment. I believe the worst form of punishment is being made to ride the Rattler.
TTD is a classic example of how a coaster doesn't have to be really long to be great. The Ultimate is a classic example of when a really long coaster really should be a lot shorter. Despite it's duration Nemesis is still an amazing coaster and any longer it might loose some of it's charm. But having said that I wish we'd get a few more decent length coasters over here, so many of them are just way to short yet same genre rides elsewhere are much longer in duration. _________________ Marcus

Both of these rides suck in their own ways, but neither ride can honestly be described as good or smooth. _________________ Yankee Freeloader Pete
