Just to let you all know that there were people today busy dismantling the whip.

It's only taken them several years Razz

What of it's fate I wonder? In a perfect world it'll head to the Dreamland Heritage Park.

It's been left to rust all this time, but I'm sure it could be brought back to life with some TLC.

I have fond memories of riding the Whip. It wasn't particularly intense but had a high fun factor.

It's always sad when we loose a classic, such as Turtle Chase which I never got round to riding.

I believe the Whip was the second oldest ride at the Pleasure Beach (I may be wrong) so let's hope it can be saved for future generations to enjoy somewhere else.

Its funny, we were only saying what a shame it was to see the ride not running. I've only ever been on the one at Southend and I always hoped it would re open. I guess I'll have to wait and see if it goes to Dreamland.

Why can't Amanda give it to Dreamland as a contribution. After all Margate is not in competition with Blackpool.

Some great mems of thge Whip went on it years ago with just me and me bro that was it. The noise it made tho dont think ill miss Laughing

But a great ride tho, Hope they dont lose the whip in the childrens area got to bring up the young generation on some good old flat rides.

According to SaveDreamland they are negotiating with BPB about the whip and hope to get it soon.
