From what we saw on Saturday they are making good progress with the ride.

They were at the stage of being able to lift the ride supports into place.

You should Sarah, the park is looking amazing these days.

Over the course of the last few 5 or so years the park has been transformed into a quality park with a top notch Zoo as well.

I like this park and will make a fresh trip there this year. One question which comes to mind is that were they not getting a Wodden Coaster soon. I see one floor in there plan. The proposed site where it was ment to be is looking full. It was for the middle part where a Hospitality Suite is , Flip Flop will now stand and The Splash Battle ride.  Laughing

I should think the new coaster would go behind kumali around there as there is tonns of land behind there. The new ride does look very good and looks as if it swings through the building.

I remember where I have seen one that fly's through the station now. It was Powerpark in Scandinavia. It was a great experience.
I hope that we don't have to wait much longer for a top woody at this park as it would be the making of it.

Andy, I don't think Thunderbird at Powerpark flies through the station. The ones I recall flying through the station are:
Troy - Toverland
Thunderhead - Dollywood
Tornado - Sarkanniemi
David.

Anyway, moving back to Flip Flop. The ride is now complete, but when they did a swing over the angle passengers would go the motor broke.
Looks great though. Link below.

David I think Andy was referring to Flip Flop flying through a station building and how the similar ride Typhoon at Power Park also flies through a station building rather than be exposed in the open like just about every other Frisbee/Afterburner style ride.

Good to see Flamingoland going the extra step and fitting Flip Flop with water features to shoot the riders. Wonder if they are triggered by spectators or are automated. Trouble is Flamingoland is becoming a bit of a wet park with Splash Batlle and that big Shoot the Chutes and is it really in a warm enough part of the country?

Flamingo land is splashing out this year yes they got flip flop but they also have got, Helitower a kids helecopter ride. Jungle carousel a soft play area and a new over walk for the zoo see the animals above and that not all a new 4D cinema to called the haunted light house. The dodgems have moved from the new building they were in last year to a new place next to wild mouse. Well done flamingo land.

For anyone over the height of 6ft like myself forget about riding flip flop as that is the height limit at the moment. Flamingoland are hoping to change this but it may be next season before that is the case.

The reason for the height limit is that due to how the ride platform is built anyone over 6ft may not have any feet left when the ride ends.
