Just wanna say a quick hello... Found you guys via facebook today... Would love to join you guys in Blackpool (its my birthday too that weekend) but sadly I have a Season ticket for a less well known Premier League team and will be stuck near London.
Just out of curiosity, how much do you normally spend on trips to the US? Cos that is one thing I would really love to do! Have done WDW and Busch in 96. Thanks to Sky and their extreme rides series.... I really wanna taste the other parks! |

Hi and welcome to the board.
A new Facebook fan page began yesterday too, so you can add us to your profile http://www.facebook.com/pages/Rol...-Club-of-Great-Britain/9047892098
I've never been on a US trip with the club, but depending on where they are and how long they take, they can run from £800 to £1,500.
This includes flights, coach, hotels, park entrance, ERS (exclusive ride sessions) and some meals.
Are you a member of the Facebook group? There are a few videos on there and pictures from members. I'm sure it'll grow now more of us are on Facebook.
After Blackpool there are trips to Oakwood in Wales in August, and Alton Towers and Drayton Manor Park in October.
Members often organise smaller get togethers through the board, so keep an eye out. _________________ Sarah

After todays defeat, our season might be over by then
Thanks for the fan link to facebook... have joined that too!!
Whats the difference between being members of RCCGB on facebook/this forum and paying membership to the group?
I get the impression you can tag along on meets etc, but wouldnt be allowed exclusive time on rides and other benefits without a membership. Am I right in thinking this?
Cheers!
PS thanks for the welcome! |

Hi and welcome to the Forum.
Becoming a full member of the RCCGB gives you a subscription to a magazine called Airtime with some fantastic articles and forthcoming news in the industry, the chance to join on club trips with fellow members at a discounted rate and with ERS's as mentioned above included in the price and your membership card allows you to get discounts at various visitor attractions also and these are listed for you on joining!!
The fantastic thing that we are achieving with this forum and the facebook account is the ability for RCCGB members and visitors to our world to have a chat, discuss and have some fun in between park visits, trips and especially the closed season.
So if you wanted to you can always tag along at one of our meets and then you can get a feel of what the atmosphere is like, and i am pretty sure you will be hooked from the start.
Visit the main RCCGB site at http://www.rccgb.co.uk/
Enjoy !!!!!! _________________ Auntie Murial - Ianto James Gulliver

Auntie Murial pointed out the main differences, ie membership includes the magazine and the chance to fully participate in club trips.
To have full access to this board you also need to be a club member.
The Facebook groups are to promote the RCCGB (your arrival proves it works) and a place where members can make comments other than here.
I hope that makes things clearer. _________________ Sarah

Its funny I have missed the Pompey home game against Newcastle for the past three seasons now because it always falls on the Bash weekend. Now hows that for random generation of fixtures! _________________ Steve

Well just filled out the application form with the cheque, so shall post that over the weekend.
For the 1st time, I've decided to get a Merlin Season Pass out of my Nectar card points, and shall be collecting it at Thorpe Park.
With a season pass, do you have to provide your own pics or to they take them for you?
Oh and if anyone is going to Thorpe Park on the 20th March (day before Good Friday) let me know!!!! |

They have camera's in the tiicket / seaon pass type things and it only takes a few seconds to do. So, no, you dont have to take your own piccy
Are you doing the bash now then?? Would i be right in guessing that you support Reading???? If so, nevermind eh haha . . . _________________ RCCGB Club Member #1908 |
