Hi all !!
The Coaster Police will be on tour again soon with the start of the long awaited new season. We are planning a 2 day trip to Europe by car and euro shuttle to do some coasters in Holland (and Belgium).
We have booked our part of the trip, and the details are all below for you. If anyone wants to get a group of 4 together in a car, and tag along with us, you are more than welcome, all the details you will need are below, and just meet up with us in the early hours in the car park by the euro shuttle duty free shop before the outbound train crossing.
Dates : Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th April 2008
(I know this is the weekend before Blackpool, but lets kick the season off with a great start!)
Things you'd need to book.....
1) Euro shuttle return trip. Outbound Train from Folkestone 04:20 on Sat 5th April, and Return Train from Calais 20:50 on Sun 6th.
2) 1 nights Hotel accomodation. We are staying at the Novotel at Amsterdam Airport. Cost is approx £37.50 per person for room (based on 2 sharing). Breakfast is included in price.
That's it really with advanced bookings. The bonus of this trip is a night out in Amsterdam City  as the last coaster of the Saturday will be the one in the Amsterdam Dungeons.
Other parks include :- Drievliet (4), Duinrell (2), Speelpark oud Valkeveen (1), Eftling(5) and Mega Speelstad(2) (in Belgium on return to Calais as one coaster wasn't working last time).
We don't hang out in one park all day as we try to maximise the time we have to cover as many coasters in the area in the given time.... The approx trip timings are below....

We will then take the local courtesy bus from hotel to airport rail station to catch train a from Schipol Airport to the main Amsterdam Central Train Station, any of following trains...

Arrive Amsterdam Centraal 1540 / 1550 / 1603
5 minutes walk to Amsterdam Dungeons
Timings are now relaxed for rest of day....
Whenever we're ready, we'll get the train back to the airport rail station and free bus to the hotel from there.

Benefits....
1) Added benefits of stopping at the ciggy shop for cheap Cigarettes and Booze for yourself for freinds on the outbound journey.
2) A good night out in Amsterdam which will be a good laugh
3) About 15 coasters in both Holland & Belgium (if they all work)
Costs....
Approx £125 per person, based on Eurotunnel Departure from Folkestone at 0420, returning at 2050 from Calais. Cost of hotel for room is 89 Euros plus tax [94.34] with Breakfast.
The £125 is brokendown between, based on 4 in the car [£37.50 hotel + £17 Eurotunnel + £20 fuel + £50 entrance fees each]
So there ya go !!!
We are all booked up, but if anyone wants to organise a car full, it'd be good to see you there!
