What do you rate as your favourite UK wooden rollercoaster and why?

To make the numbers up a little (as we don't have too many woodies!!) I have added two now defunct classics to the list.

For me my favourite is the Grand National at PBB. It is full of big drops, airtime, pace and thrills and spills. Pretty much everything I love in rollercoasters.

Scenic Railway Margate because it was the birth of my passion and my first coaster.

I love Megaphobia and Grand NAtional aswell.

It`s a shame Amanda had the Cyclone destroyred, but i have a piece on my side now.

Thanks Marcus, i know its not the greatest ride but its still my best Woodie. Plus unlike cyclone and Texas it is still up. It was coaster tick number one for me and i would knock megafobia down first. Sorry guys, i love mega but i`m loyal to my first love.

My first tick was wood!

I went for Meggy but it was close one between that and the Log Chute at Rhyl. Also the Scenic and the Rollercoaster at Gt Yarmouth.

It was very close between Grand National and Megafobia but in the end it was GN as it was my first rollercoaster many decades ago. It has stood the tests of time and the loop track gives it something extra considering its over seventy years old.......nearly as old as Nev's jokes!

I voted for the Wild Mouse at Blackpool, i love all the rest, but only the wild mouse leaves me coming off in hysterics and almost wetting myself!!
