Welcome to the board Paul.

It's good to know that I'm not alone in liking trains as well as roller coasters.  Laughing

Hi Paul, welcome to the board, it's a little quiet around here at the moment but will pick up again when the coaster season starts.

As a side note I notice in your location that you're from my home town Telford Very Happy (although I live in Shrewsbury now)

Welcome Paul

Looks like a few of our members are also into railways and trains as well.

Glad to have you 'on board' and look forward to seeing you at an event. Come and say Hi.

Gareth

I have many Hornby railways, including my first engine: Desmond (7) tank engine, The Mallard, Evening Star, Harry Potter train Set and lot's of carriages, trucks and new track.

May set them up again, if i move house in two years.

Looking forward to Alton Towers visit and hopefully Thorpe Park and Drayton Manor, plus usual visits to Camelot.  Will not be visiting Blackpool Pleasure Beach for the first time in 19 years.  I absolutely dispise Amanda Thompson and Nick Thompson for what they have done.  BPB has been free entry to all for over 100 years and they change it, they remove classic rides (Cyclone included) and no doubt more rides will go from BPB very soon.

But i bet you won't see a B&M inverted coaster at the park, always be this Vekoma or Arrow rubbish.  In my view, only one ride should be closed. The Big One, the biggest waste of money at the park.  Looses £1 million per day if closed due to weather, the second drop, turn around and dips over the Log Flume area are dull and boring and what is more embarrassing, the Revolution at only 56ft has a better first drop and this was built in 1979.

If there is one thing BPB should have done, yes loose the Log Flume, but at least get a decent inverted coaster like Montu @ Busch Gardens.

Ian
