Hello coaster fans
I am planning to go on my first club trip to loopathon at Alton Towers this year.
As i do not drive i will have to try and get there by bus etc. Can anyone give me advise has to how to get there without car. Or if there is someone from West Yorkshire who is happy to give me a lift i would be very grateful

Alton Towers is not all that easy to reach by public transport - especially since we invariably arrive before the usual opening times and depart after usual closing times.
I have had a quick look at the bus timetables available on the Alton Towers website http://www.altontowers.com/download/Bus-timetables.pdf and it appears to me that your best bet might to be to try to get accommodation in Uttoxeter on the Friday night. (You can get a train from Leeds to Derby hourly, then it is a short transfer by local train to Uttoxeter). However, I am assuming that you mean you are only going to Alton Towers, and not onto Drayton Manor Park the next day.
Although I will be travelling from West Yorkshire myself, I cannot really help with lifts because i will be staying at my parents house for a few days. (Luckily for me they only live 3 miles from Alton Towers) |

Oops - I just realised another, very obvious option - which is to stay at one of the Alton Towers hotels. That way, you would obviously be already there for the club event.
However, be aware that this is unlikey to be a cheap option. _________________ Now counting my coasters at http://www.coastercounter.com/bradpeet - which even has the snails |

| No it is not a cheap option as you would be paying extra for the waterpark. |
