The past week I've been listening to Kraftwerk's Computer World and The Man Machine - all good stuff. It's been a long time since I last heard these albums - but I really can't get into Radio-Activity Shocked

The Model is my favourite (Man Machine).  If you get The Mix there is a great version of Radio Activity.

Maverick had another mishap the other day.

From reports it would seem that some girl had her mobile phone out at some point on the ride and it wacked a girl sat behind.

The ride was shut for a small peroid of time whilst the incident was dealt with and reopened shortly after.

Maybe we should swap the Maverick ERS for Raptor, just in case. Wink

I am not fussed if it has all these problems. As long as I ride Maverick I don't  mind.

Why write it of because of a few problems.

Exactly!  How many times does AIR break down!  Rita?  Stealth, etc!   And the last incident was caused by someone holding a mobile ("Please secure all loose articles").

Having worked with Cedar Point for many many years, rest assured I have negotiated a plan B (and C).  So whatever steelie breaks down there, we'll just move to another!!  Wink

Hopefully all the rotten luck Cedar is having will be out of the way before you all go and we go the week after.

By the way I hope you all dont mind me posting in this section, we are not on the trip but seeing as we are going to Cedar Point for the first time ourselves just the week after it does feel like it somehow. I have never felt as excited about anything in all my 35 years  Very Happy

Maverick is the ride I really cant wait to ride, even though its not the biggest one there it does look totally insane  Cool

Perhaps plan b or c involves a trip down to Texas.

It's all irrelevant anyway - once we have had our ERS in the Phoenix nothing else will matter! - Not that I'm biased in anyway!  Wink

Because I already got my "tick"on Maverick. The bleeding has stopped. But, I'm with Ryan on this one--Meanstreak would make a better ERS.

Might I suggest.....

Mean streak is alright. Tons better than Maverick anyway.

Raptor ERS would be really cool.

With any luck have the luck we did last year. Getting 3 or 4 coasters done before the crowd/public hits the park. Starts the day off well.

Gonna relax at Cedar more this year. First year rushed it and did`nt really take it all in. Then last year wasted to much time waiting for a front seat of TTD with numerous break downs. I have every tick at Cedar, so its my fun and relax day. Any ERS is cool really.

Graham, a whole week at one park? Why not travel to the other parks and enjoy them? A full day at Cedar is ample, two days great. A week would be tedious mate.

Dont forget though mate this is a person who roamed BPB for 6 days around my birthday  Laughing

It has been tempting to go to a couple of other parks but this trip to Cedar was not even planned up until a couple of weeks ago when things happened to free up some time.

We are going to use this holiday to get as many rides as possible at Cedar then next time when we are over there for longer we will do more parks in the area like Kennywood, Kings Island, Kings Dominion, Busch Gardens and drive over to Holiday World as well.

A week at Knoebels still wouldn't be enough!  Very Happy

Just got off phone to Kennywood (just over an hour!!!) - have arranged some rather good ERS's!  Wink

With recent news of problems with some rides and potential takeovers that may not necessarily be a good thing, one thing is always guaranteed to be good news - more ERS's.

Well, off to the airport in an hour and a half and the flight to Heathrow where later we'll be at the Airport Bowl before our flight tomorrow to Washington.

I'll be taking plenty of photo's!! and will try and update my website daily. I'll also be doing some trip reports and when we join the club at Newark next weekend i'm sure Ryan will be adding some amusing reports about his Gynaecology!!

See you all soon at Newark!

Very Happy Like Dave Perry I fly out to Washington D.C. tomorrow for a few more parks before we all meet up at Newark Airport on the 7th June. So see you all then, and like Nev said it will be a great holiday as they always are when he organises them!!  Oh by the way the weather at Washington tomorrow is about 30 degrees C (in old money about 85 degrees F)  LOVERLY!!!! Cool  Remember your sunglasses, sun block and cap. See you in a week. Harvey
