According to Wikipedia, this is due to a narrow flight corridor over the city, as flying over certain DC landmarks is forbidden. I was quite suprised to find out that for a few years after 9\11, flights to DC were subject to some very strict security protocols, such as if a passenger were to stand up in the last 30 minutes of the flight, the flight would be diverted, under military escort to Andrews Air Force Base to be isolated and investigated. Reg We're not flying into this airport (DCA) we will be flying into the international airport, Dulles (IAD). Was looking at Steel Piers open hours. We are in Atlantic City on Thursday 11Th and the parks site says its not open until the weekend or full season starts 14Th June. http://www.steelpier.com/hours-steel-pier.aspx Could be another two ticks lost? Was looking at the two piers in Ocean City 10 miles away that have 6 Coasters in total but open between 6pm til close.
