You've got a better list of films than my flight this month. Will have watched everything on my iPod before I even land.

Maybe this time I'll get a working headphone socket  Smile

Radioactive! haha! Not a bad guess though!

Just got the movie list from BA for our flight:-

The Pink Panther 2
Watchmen
Milk
The International
Last Chance Harvey
Confessions of a Shopaholic
Anvil! The Story of Anvil
The Tales of Despereaux
The White Countess
Race to Witch Mountain
Fracture

And when we come home:-

He's Just Not That into You
Gran Torino
In The Loop
Franklyn
Bride Wars
Valkyrie
Phoebe in Wonderland
Hotel for Dogs
Spiderman 2
Coraline
A Beautiful Mind

PASSPORTS!

I had loaded a lot of films onto my ipod for the flight, but thats a pretty good list of movies. Want to see Milk, and will give Watchmen a go, even if its on a tiny screen. Will be able to save the movies on my ipod for the longer coach trips.

How come there are never any coaster/park films on the flights. Thought the new film that features Kennywood could have been on our flight, bad planning by BA

When we visited Morey's Piers last year we were given 6 VIP passes to their Raging Waters Water Park.

We haven't used these so if anyone wants one for when we visit Wildwood then please get in touch. There's NO charge!! First come first served!

Just plotted the route (or the route as far as I know!) on Google Maps. Can't be exact, but it looks to be around 1450 miles.

Just found a vid on youtube of one possible approach to Washington Airport.

http://tinyurl.com/ps5ql7

Called the 'River Visual' approach, the flight path follows The Potomac River, and then makes a pretty steep right turn at low level to get to the runway.
According to Wikipedia, this is due to a narrow flight corridor over the city, as flying over certain DC landmarks is forbidden.

I was quite suprised to find out that for a few years after 9\11, flights to DC were subject to some very strict security protocols, such as if a passenger were to stand up in the last 30 minutes of the flight, the flight would be diverted, under military escort to Andrews Air Force Base to be isolated and investigated. This regulation was recinded a few years ago though.

That's abit worrying about getting all six ticks then. However we did do Indiana Beach on a closed day on the Voyage trip and that was a really good visit.

We're not flying into this airport (DCA) we will be flying into the international airport, Dulles (IAD). Though I see what you mean about that approach.

There we go, its only 321 miles, or a 5 hour coach trip. That's got to be worth it for Twister. Oh, and maybe a go on Phoenix if there is time.  Razz

I'm off on holiday myself tomorrow morning, so just wanted to wish you all a great trip. I know Nev won't let you down and you'll all have an amazing time.  With Ravine Flyer II, Bizarro and Volcano on the trip you can't go wrong.

Best wishes for the hol - hope you both have a great time. Volcano certainly seems intriguing. It may be my first suspended launch coaster.

No, I passed on that as I was really suffering from a bad cold or something for the 2nd half of the week and felt rotten.

If you had ERS on the twisted sisters as we have on previous trips then you would never confuse the rides. Best thing about the Twisted Sisters was having to duck because of the planes just missing the rides

Not a major park but still a worry. Was looking at Steel Piers open hours. We are in Atlantic City on Thursday 11Th and the parks site says its not open until the weekend or full season starts 14Th June.

http://www.steelpier.com/hours-steel-pier.aspx

Could be another two ticks lost?

Was looking at the two piers in Ocean City 10 miles away that have 6 Coasters in total but open between 6pm til close. Anybody interested in trying to do these?

Bring back the Mystery Tour, then we just ride what we are given, which was fantastic as Nev always manages to arrange a great trip. Why worry, take it all as it comes. RCCGB forever.

Steel Pier has always been 'touch & go'!  I have been working hard to get the Mouse open but figures are always too high (it's your money)!

As for Great Escape - well fear not - lets just say there won't be many queues!  Laughing  Wink

Of more worry is Busch Gardens, Kings Dominion, Six Flags New England and Waldameer.    Just kidding!   Twisted Evil

This time next week, we'll be at 35,000 feet!

PASSPORTS!
