Well as Andy said it was very last min really it wasent planed at all he phoned me up last night to try get down there etc. The ride is fantastic and the themeing is great. Not all the effects were working but the ones we did have was fantatstic. We have been told that the ride will be in full form and even if one effect is not working then they wont open it so sounds like they will be looking after this ride with some pride. 4 Goes round and still could of done more but didnt want to be to gready  Laughing . The pictures are just the outside I have inside pictures but I can not show them untill thursday night due to thorpe parks close contact with the ride. All I can say is that this is a fantastic ride and hope you all enjoy it.

So now getting me space ready for Altons 2010 coaster  Very Happy

Sorry to spoil the fun - but Smiler won't be the last to ride it!  He's just sat next to me for 4 rides on it being filmed for BBC Breakfast and some other media groups!

I hope thats not a saw-point for anyone!  Very Happy

The ride is pretty good - longer than Speed and Rage (more like Mystery Mine at Dollywood).  The themeing is outsanding (although I think you'll appreciate it more if you've seen the movies).  There are loads of effects and surprises.
The merchandise is good too - in the Saw Store!

Please don't give him any hassle, I needed one person at very short notice and you had all ribbed him so much, so I called him to see if he was free!

Very Happy

I'm sure he'd have posted himself but his laptop died!  Laughing

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Haha, oh well, we nearly had him (smiler) - he may have tried to put himself in one of jigsaw's traps had he not got on it first!  Very Happy

Glad you both enjoyed the ride!!!

See you all at SAW-ted (if you're going that is lol)  Laughing

Just got back from the party.  SAW is even better at night – some of the lighting effect were fabulous!  I rode it with Jonathon Ross and Jessie Wallace (Kat Slater).  She screamed the whole way round and I was deaf in one ear for a while!!  Jonathon liked it but said he preferred Valhalla!  (which he opened!).  Most unlikely event of the night was when singer Katie Melua came up to me to tell me she was a massive coaster fan, with one of her favourites being “X” at Six Flags Magic Mountain!  So she now has an application form to join! Laughing

SAW did mis-behave a few times but nothing major.

Look forward to seeing some of you tomorrow afternoon.  I’m off to bed as I have to be back there at 8am!

SAW is Dead. Those who won the competition to go today will be disappointed to learn the option is not to go or ride Nemesis Inferno. What a great start.

From Nev, and also the big boss of Thorpe who was on the phone. I was going to drive up from Southampton and the big boss said not to waste the petrol. There is a slim chance it might open, but it is very slim.

I'm just back from Thorpe (have to go to work tonight so couldn't stay).
Sadly SAW did have some teething trouble.  A circuit board needed changing and had to be rushed from Germany.  It was impossible to get it to the UK before 6pm tonight.  The park are very disapointed as they really wanted everyone to be able to ride it.  Obviously this was completely out of their hands and although a few trains were sent around this afternoon (empty), for safety reasons no one could ride.

So, thank you to those who attended and sorry you did not get to ride SAW (I hope Rush and Collossus went a small way to making it worth the visit).

The park will be working all night to try and ensure SAW runs tomorrow.

Andy

PS. Woooood!  Laughing

1) We get to ride it next weekend (hopefully!)
2) A new club has been created (see my signature for info)  Laughing

See some of you at Paultons on Sunday, and many more on 21st Smile

Disappointed is the only word to describe today! The ride looks good but we'll have to wait for tomorrow to try it, hopefully.

I am not going to say that I rode Saw today, because as has been said
we did not. Jonathan Ross broke it last night, see the newspaper report.
Its half way down the page

I am also a member of the "First to be denied SAW by Technical Failure" club.

We were watching the news (GMTV) this morning and they had a clip about Saw.
They said, that the park panicked about the technical fault yesterday and there was footage of reporters on the ride! (When we left yesterday we saw GMTV film crew on the way in!)
I wonder if we had waited a bit longer we may have got on it?

That London Paper articles is inaccurate!

I rode with Jonathon Ross and he was not anoyed!  I also rode with 2 Eastenders and saw 2 others on the train behind - all who got off laughing and smiling!
So don't believe all you read!

And here's another article....

all i can say is WOW! what a ride.
only about 200 turned up out of the competition winners so had no problems getting a ride before it broke down again, but thankfully only for a short while so we managed 3 more goes.
i expected to see a few more from the club there but as you can see below it was just the usual suspects.
roll on SAW-TED
