Your 2007 Season ReviewHow was your coaster season in 2007? This is how it was for me,
Now the season is over and the last ride has been had it is time to do my report of the 2007 season.
The first part of the season was ruined by a really bad back injury and indeed the very first trip was not until July 28th at PBB. Only 7 rides were had that day but it was just to ease myself back into coaster again, no risks were taken at all, I did not want to put out my back for the rest of the season.
From that point on we tried to fit as many visits to parks in, taking in parks that had not been done for a few years like lightwater and oakwood.
So here is the breakdown
Park Trips - 24
Park visited most - PBBx12 (will be far more next year )
Amount of rides at PBB - 542
Total amount of rides in 2007 - 846
My Top Ten Ride Count
1 - Infusion x 119
2 - Wild Mouse x 114
3 - Nemesis x 61
4 - grand National x 57
5 - PMBO x 43
6 - Rita x 42
7 - Knightmare x 25
8 - Big Dipper x 24
9 - Revolution x 22
10 - Oblivion x 21
Highlights of the season
- Finally getting back on the rides
- Meeting a great bunch of people from this guide
- Knightmare at Camelot being such a great ride
- Speed at Oakwood being great as well
- Getting on the last train of Nemesis and Infusion in 2007
- Doing 112 rides in just one day at PBB
- Doing 75 rides in one day on the wild mouse at PBB
- Discovering what a great and unique ride the ultimate is, so much better without the overheads
- Two coasterclub trips to alton with great nemesis counting in the ers
- The staff at PBB being just amazing on every trip
- Infusion meets Valhalla, its now called Inhalla on windy days
- The infusion stampede on the final day
- Winter weekends at PBB, relaxed atmosphere, simply amazing
- The final day at PBB, just the best day at a park ever
Lowlights
- My back causing me to miss half the season
- Drayton Manor, a truly dreadfull day with poor operation of rides making the parks low ride capicity even worse
- G force, why drayton wasted money on that rubbish I will never know
- Flamingoland, most miserable staff at a park ever
- The season is now over
So there you go, it has been a bit of a mixed season but the second half has been amazing and I have got to make new coaster friends as well with people from the BPB guide who are great coaster fans
The 2008 season can not come round quick enough

The 2007 season for me was fantastic, especially after having a break from the club for 2006.
The best bit for me has been meeting up with old friends and making some brilliant new friends, some of which have made a lasting impression on my life
In all fairness I haven't done too many parks this year, my first park of the year was Drayton Manor back in March. I won a free ticket from an end of season questionnaire I filled in.
Second trip was to Oakwood in May for the charity rollercoaster ride, however I didn't take part in the ride but was nice to go round the park with Amy, Rich and Nikki. Thanks to Rich I also had my first ever go on a sky coaster which was amazing.
Megaglowmania was amazing, met so many new friends. The atmosphere at the campsite was fantastic.
Loopathon for me was the best trip of the year with so many fun filled antics, I cried my eyes out at the end of the weekend because I didn't want to leave all my friends.
Since then there have been a few mini meet ups for parties including this weekend for Portsmouth night out and Brighton

my season was excellent as usual !.
The best thing about this year is ive been having non club trips with my coaster club friends as well as some other people who came along to make up numbers and join in the fun.
blackpool bash ! - friday night was excellent - excellent entertainment , excellent company ! saturday - hour and a halfs e.r.s in the morning on pmbo and steeplechase ! loads of riding fitted in between ers and lunchtime and again till grand national e.r.s. Saturday night was good too seeing people dressed in school uniforms and some right cack in the gong show ! - some good acts this year i have to admit ! some really good too !. Sunday morning was e.r.s on big dipper and avalanche - excellent weather throughout the trip.
summer bash - southend ! had a good time but the weather was a bit of a let down !.
oakwood - the usual good time was had as usual - megafobia was running as normal ! good weather ! excellent time.
loopathon - weather was a bit cold but this didnt stop me from enjoying myself at both parks ! luckily corkscrew and g-force didnt do back and neck in like last year ! and i even got a few rides on g-force in too ! didnt let my hands go up until after the dreaded incline on g-force.
the season came to an end and i was a bit down but i have done a trip to thorpe park with other coaster club members for the fright nights ! saw a freakshow called circus of horrors ! - very interesting. Did some videos too - 1 of blackpool bash and of loopathon - would have had one of oakwood too but i left the camera at home and didnt realise until i got my hotel in narbeth ! excellent season - BRING ON NEXT YEAR !!

I too have had a great year.
It started in febuary half term at Thorpe, a few rides closed at the time but still a good day.
Blackpool Bash was great, with the fact my birthday was on the friday so me and Mum had a few hours at Alton Towers, and got a great ride count on Nemesis, thanks to the SRQ.
Summer Bash was great, with Rage being my 200th coaster. The weather did'nt dampen anyone's spirits.
Oakwood was superb as usual, always nice to ride the wood, along with the fitting tribute to Nev's Mum.
A few more trips to parks here and there kept my blood running. And it's not over for me yet, as I'm visiting Adventure Island on the 30th december.
Bring on next year.

We had a great season to, really used our season pass to the max!! I think we must be on first name terms with the staff at Chessy and Thorpe!
A real highlight for me was getting to go to PortAventura and finally ride Dragon Khan.

Yes Megalow Mania was fantastic as I met so many new people too.
I really enjoyed the rides, especially Speed and riding Megafobia in the dark. The fireworks and the dancing fountain show were amazing.
I thoughougly enjoyed my experience as I havn't been to any other park this year apart from Clarence Peir in Portsmouth and the fair in Victoria Park, Bath which is alway very good as I have been going there as long as I can remeber.
I feel sorry that you cried at the end of Loopathon, but you can look forward to other trips including Blackpool Bash in April which should be a great weekend as I am most definately coming. Are you coming ?

My highlight of the year was the 2007 Coaster Heaven trip, despite the fact was not well for part of it, and I missed Cedar POint, but I have been twice before, so no biggie.
The trip offered some fantastic coasters, and pushed my coaster count up past the 300 mark.
Renegage at Valleyfair was excellent, and the ERS at sunset really was a highlight of the trip. The Canon Ball at Lake Winnie was a lot of fun, as was Tornado at Adventureland and Screamin Eagle at Six Flags St. Louis.
The best coaster for me was at a park not on the trip though. After the last day of the trip, we headed of in a car to Michigan Advenure to try out Shivering Timbers. Well, all I had heard about it was true. Really fun, tons of airtime and sooo long as well! It bumped Knoebels Twister of my number 1 spot too!
Other than that, I went to the Bash, Oakwood and Loopathon. Oakwood was looking a little sorry for itself though. I had been telling my girlfriend that it was such a great park, but we were both a bit let down this year. Oakwood needs a bit of TLC, as does the first drop on Megafobia!
Otherwise though, a great year!!!
