I'm also on the spare parts run from Gosport to Keele, just the other side of Stoke on Trent at times, but unfortunatley, not enough time to ride Nemmie a few times, 10 miles to AT from where I go.

Well, officially I`m retired, but that`s a bit of a joke.
One of my nicknames is Avon - but that will have to change now as I`ve just given it up - I do Betterware instead!!! Trawling round for hours on end delivering and picking up the catalogues. Well, it keeps me off the streets, y`know!
The most important thing is that it keeps me in pocket money for the essential things in life - riding coasters!!!

Hail All!
Well...Although I'm more than willing to go to full-time work, I'm one of the perpetually unemployed.
Not a choice made by myself I have to say, as I've applied for several jobs all over the shop recently...However, it appears that employers around my area have a preference for hiring people who have less of a right to those jobs then I do for some reason - Although that's another story...
As for what I could do:
I have advanced skills in computing and programming, a Cisco CCNA Networking qualification, a full and clean B/B1/F/K/P driving licence, an interest in driving large vehicles, a good degree of aptitude with electronics and mechanics, a fairly good deal of strength, a couple of other handy abilities, and isn't affected by Christian religious holidays...So if anyone here is looking for staff, PLEASE send me an e-mail!
Farewell...

I've worked for various care companies in Gloucestershire over 5 years. Have been unfairly dismissed twice within those 5 years - took the one to court and won! Couldn't take the other one due to length of service. Was working for an agency but they are a pile of cigarette ends. So at this moment... the dole
However, have found work for another care home company (waiting for refrences to come through).. but do have an interview on the 18th for a nice job with the NHS!
Previous work included a Security Guard at Heathrow and a Bingo Caller!!!

Hail All!
Well...Looking down the list (I was bored, so decided to read the whole thread from the top!) it seems that we have people in many varied trades around here - Ranging right from the unemployed and housewives/husbands, straight through to managing directors and nuclear engineers!
Although I have been technically unemployed since November 2001CE, I originally forgot to mention that I occasionally volunteer at a local charity doing light labouring and electrical safety testing.
Also, about three weeks ago I had an unpaid employment trial with a web development/optimisation company in Blackwater, but sadly this failed to work out after the first week as it appeared I couldn't work to professional web development standards.
So at the moment, I'm still out of work, sadly. I'm trying to find something, but the unskilled labour force down here is literally saturated with potential applicants (Most of them immigrants without residence visas, mind ye! ) At the moment.
On the other hand, I'm also toying with the idea of going self-employed and opening up a shop in Farnborough specialising in the darker side of music, and offering things (Such as an immense range of rare and hard-to-find Metal) that other shops cannot...Add an online store into this mix, and I have the idea that this could possibly become a success. Even if not, at least I'd be "employed" and still be able to listen to proper Metal on a daily basis!
A quick question towards Colin Anderson, as he used to work at Sizewell A:...
One thing that I wouldn't mind having a stab at is unskilled or apprentice mechanical engineering (If such positions exist) in an industrial environment...And with my having a good eye and mind for health and safety, I feel that I might be OK working at a nuclear site. Add in to this that I'd love to live in North Wales if I could, I'm wondering if getting a job at Wylfa could be a wise idea?
On the other hand, I know that Wylfa is the last of the Magnox sites and it's due for decommission soon (2012CE isn't it?), so would there be any point in getting a job on a site that's going to be closing in 4-8 years time (Consider the length of the decomissioning process too! ) assuming they havn't already started laying off existing staff?
Farewell...And please don't be too frightened at the idea of me working in a nuclear power station!
