VertigoAnyone who was lucky enough to ride Vertigo at Walibi Belgium, count yourselves lucky, as the park have confirmed that Doppelmayr have begun the process of removing the ride from the park. 3 seasons of very problematic
operations seemed to have been enough for the park to decide to give up on the ride.
It's a shame, because I had it heard it was very good from people who actually got to ride it.

It's such a shame it's going as it was a fantastic coaster. Very odd and unique and a whole heap of fun. It's the first coaster in many many years that actually scared me and made me feel unsafe. A sad loss but I can see why the park has got so frustrated as to rip it out. Hopefully it'll end up at a smaller park where the low throughput won't be as big an issue.

Rattler scared me in a completely different way to Vertigo. It scares me that anyone would want to build a coaster like Rattler let alone ride it. Let's hope Rattler really is like Vertigo and gets torn down ASAP.

I gather it's not the smoothest of rides and wobbles a bit.

Dopplymayr are currently building another one in China. But that's not exactly easy to get to. I'm still confident that Vertigo will end up at a smaller park somewhere in Europe, most likely in Germany. Dopplmayr will want to perfect the product so could potentially give it to the right park. A ride that good just can't disappear.
