Traditional German New Years Eve TVRecently I have been in Switzerland on a training course with some German, Belgian and Swiss colleagues. Conversation one day turned to what people do traditionally in their country around Christmas and New Year. The Germans mentioned that on New Years Eve most Gremans watch an English comedy sketch in Black and White called 'Dinner for One' which is about 11 minutes long. This is so popular that it appears on multiple TV channels during the day/evening...want to see what it's all about here is the link to the sketch on You Tubehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1v4BYV-YvA Reading You Tube comments it seems that in Norway this is traditionally shown on Christmas Eve, and in other Scandinavian countries the same as Germany on New Years Eve. The funny thing is that most people in the UK have not seen the sketch or even heard of it! Personally, it made me laugh!!
