The Great Airtime/First Drop Giveaway!

Hail All! Twisted Evil
This thread has been manually moved by Death from the "User Announcements" forum as it seems that no-one has seen it there...I certainly havn't had any e-mail requests thus far anyway! Sad

I'm currently having a much needed clear-out at home, and I have a large collection of Airtime and First Drop back-issues that I no longer need. Rather than simply throw them all in the recycling bin (Which would be a shameful waste) I thought I'd offer them to other members of the Club who may have a few gaps in their collections that need filling... Smile
If you're looking for a hard to find issue of Airtime or First Drop, all the details for getting hold of mine are below! Cool
------------------------------------------------------------------
What's up for grabs:
The Airtime/First Drop issues that I'm offering are as follows:
  • Airtime: Issues 21-65 inclusive,
(Airtime 59 is currently missing, but I think it might turn up at some point. Smile),
  • First Drop: Issues 68-78 inclusive.
All issues are in a clean, crisp condition and would be an ideal addition to any collection.
All of these issues are being offered for free, although I'll be asking for a small contribution towards postage (Details below)...Especially as I'm a bit strapped for cash at the moment! Smile
Note: Please don't ask me what articles etc. are covered in which issues as I don't have the time to check them. There should be summaries of each issue on the RCCGB and ÊCC websites, and more information can most likely be found via Google. Cool

Requesting issues:
If ye are interested in any of these back-issues, please send an e-mail to hyperspeed666@googlemail.com (My list/chronjob e-mail address) with "[Coaster Mags Giveaway]" in the subject line. Please list your choice(s) in order of preference, with Airtimes and Thirst Drops listed seperately for convenience. If you live outside of the UK, please specify this in your e-mail as well. Once I have a fully sorted list of who wants what, I'll e-mail everyone to let them know if their request has been successful or not, and if so which issues have been allocated to them along with a request for shipping address and postage payment.
Closing date for requests is 09:00 on 5th November 2007CR. Smile

Fair allocation policy:
There is no limit to the number of issues that ye can request, but to ensure that this giveaway benefits as many people as possible (And to allow for fair distribution) preference in allocation will be given to those asking for fewer issues, as per the following example:
  • Member A requests Airtime 42 only,
  • Member B requests Airtime 42 and First Drop 71,
  • Member C requests Airtime 42, 43, 44 and 65, and First Drop 71, 76, 77 and 78.
Distribution will be as follows:
  • Member A will receive Airtime 42,
  • Member B will receive First Drop 71,
  • Member C will receive Airtime 43, 44 and 65, and First Drop 76, 77 and 78.
Any clashes in allocation (Such as three members requesting Airtime 21 on it's own) will be resolved through rolling of dice, thereby making this system as fair as possible to everyone. Smile

Postage:
To simplify postage and packing costs, there is a flat postage fee of £1.00 per envelope (£1.50 per envelope overseas). This will be requested (Via cheque or postal order) from successful "bidders" after I've compiled my who-gets-what list.
Each envelope can carry four issues of Airtime, two issues of First Drop, or a combination of both (One First Drop for two Airtimes). If there are any un-allocated issues left over after the "bidding" phase, these'll probabally be added at random to any envelopes with available space, kind of like a "lucky dip" if ye will.
Please note: To help conserve the environment, your issues may well come to ye in a "recycled" RCCGB or ÊCC envelope! Very Happy
------------------------------------------------------------------
Anyhow...Hope that ye all find this offer helpful, and that my exhaustive explanation above of how it'll all work didn't confuse the Hell out of ye! EmbarassedLaughing
If anyone else is planning on giving away their old Airtime/First Drop collections, please feel free to use this thread and the above system if ye wish. I'd suggest that we keep it to one giveaway at a time to avoid confusion though. Smile

Coaster Chick

Hi Death

I would love to have issues 36 and 37 of Airtime if that is possible. I did send off to Nev for them about a year ago with a cheque but heard nothing - I think he has too many to wade through. Apart from these two I have a full set and would love to complete the collection.

Thanks and look forward to hearing from you
Death

Hail, Coaster Chick! Twisted Evil
Cheers for having a couple of the issues...Nice to know that someone could do with 'em! Cool

If ye can e-mail me your details and your postal address (Use the board "e-mail member" function), I'll try and get these posted to ye as soon as it's convenient. Smile

As for postage fees: To save stuffing about with P.Os etc, I'll see if it's possible to send it by reverse-charge post.
(I.E: I send it without stamps and labelled reverse-charge, and you pay for the postage and collect it from your local post office. Smile)

As for all of the other magazines: I may just list these on eBay or recycle 'em. Smile
