The big bang on Wednesday (September 10)Right... I've been in a state of shock today after discovering there are people who are still not aware of the Large Hedron Collider being switched on at Cern.
I know I've put it in a posh way, but it's the machine to recreate the big bang, the machine that people fear will destroy the fabric of the universe.

I only found out today. It looks like it might create a black hole and everything will get sucked into it.

Hawkings believes there's less than %1 chance of a black hole. For some reason if a mini black hole is produced they believe it will fade out of existence in an extremely short time. Strange, I thought a black hole would continue 'feeding' on everything until nothing was left.
Best get a few rides in tomorrow AM just in case we all meet on t'other side.

It seems the streams aren't being crossed until October 21.

Remember that advice Egon gave about never letting the streams cross - such an action would likely be cataclysmic causing 'total protonic reversal'.
As Ryan would say, 'we're all doomed'
Seriously, if protons are routinely colliding in our atmosphere then we should be fairly safe - but don't quote me, because if you do in a few weeks it may not matter

If so, it's likely to be a big attraction.
