Before you post new coaster news please read the thread you're writing in. You may find someone else has already written something and you can add to their thread.
Please check you are posting in the correct forum. The admin/moderating team will move posts to the right place, but it's always good to get it right first time and have more people reading your post.
When posting to another website please make it clear if there may be some moderate 'adult' language. While explicit adult content is banned the board team appreciates some websites may include some 'adult' lanauge which may appear harmless to some but offend others.
General Rules:
Please behave politely towards fellow board members. Debating and discussion is fine but rudeness, insults, personal attacks or deliberately inflammatory posts are not.
Please do not posting meaningless threads, one word (or short) nonsense posts, or similar.
Writing multiple or repeated posts in order to increase your post count is not permitted. Your post count will grow in time.
There is a zero tolerance policy on advertising, spamming and trolling. This includes using the forum email and private message (PM) system to send spam to other members.
Discussion about all illegal activities including software and music piracy and other intellectual property violations are not permitted, as well as posts of a sexual and/or violent nature.
Each member is allowed one login account only.
The team reserves the right to remove/edit offensive and/or inappropriate posts without notice.
Posting in ALL CAPS is not permitted (it's shouting and difficult to read).
Please refrain from using txt tlk.
When posting, please use the default forum font colours.
There is a profanity filter in action. Anyone who tries to get around this profanity filter by using symbols such as '*' '@' '#' etc. will receive a warning.
The board team reserves the right to ban anyone who repeatedly violates the forum rules.
The board team reserves the right to take any action deemed appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.
Signatures
You may only contain links to your own website/s from your signature.
Only images hosted at other servers, such as Coaster Fanatic, may be used in signatures.
Please do not duplicate links to the same URL in a signature.
All signatures should not exceed eight lines of normal size text.
Avatars
Avatars must be no bigger than 80x80 and no more than 250kb in size. Animated avatars are permitted under the same size restrictions.
Dealing with transgressions
First instance: User verbally advised/warned.
Second instance: Formal warning with moderators maintaining a watchful eye for 14 days.
Third/fourth instance: Moderator preview for seven days, then 14 days.
Fifth instance: User moderated for 21 days.
Sixth instance: User banned indefinitely.
Each instance has a six month life. Once six months has past the slate is clean.
Instant and indefinite banning
The team reserve the right to instantly and indefinitely ban any user should they deem it necessary to do so. Posting blatant links to sites with adult and/or illegal content would be an example of this.
