SAW The Ride Pre Opening Day Friday 13th March 2009All i can say is WOW!. SAW The Ride is the dogs dangley bits.
this ride blew me away and imo the best ride so far at thorpe park.
i only managed 4 rides on friday 13th as i was cream crackered after climbing all the stairs. one exception i found was that the disabled entrance lift took you straight upto the loading platform so it is easily accessible for disabled people as well so congratulations thorpe park.

All I can say is what an excellent ride. The coaster itself I think would be ok stand alone, but the themeing makes the ride! I hope that all of Merlin's future installations are like that as it puts other areas of the park to shame. I won't give away details but I'm sure everyone will be impressed by this new standard.
I've uploaded some photos to my Coaster Fanatics profile, no internal shots though:

I can say that this is one ride Merlin has done a good UK job on the coaster and themeing. It could have had a bit more added towards the film side, there are 5 films, it wold have been nice.
Those who will ride it on 21st will hopefully enjoy as this is a good edition to Thorpe Park and all those skeptics who slated the ride before it was built will be skeptics no more as it is a good ride.
I also enjoyed meeting with the crew that got in before me it was great to meet fellow coaster enthusiasts.

I think I can say what everyone else says it is a fantastic ride for the park and lets hope they keep the standard up all the time even when there on a strict contract to. The opening day despite the ticket mess up (thorpe sending the tickets at 1.40 even tho it started at 12) then the day was great. No ques great meeting people again great day.

Great vid's. I never realised there was so much before the 100ft lift and more than one car going round at once.

you only get to see "Jigsaw on the Tricycle" if travelling in the rear car. this allows the front car to distance itself from you.

Wow!! What a ride!!! The whole day was really good and I had a great time with people I knew and people who I met that day!! Luckily we got to ride from 12-2 and the ride is amazing!! It is spot on and the themeing is amazing...if only every ride was done to this standard!
Had some great rides on it though the front row (for me) was sooo much better than the back row! Got 12 rides in in the end and everyone was different, loved it!
Was a great day and would like to thank everyone who made it fun

There's a theme developing here - i got a nail in my tyre on the way to Thorpe on Thursday. And i didn't get the bloomin coaster
Again, thank god for run-flats, but not impressed with 300 quid

mine was on the way on friday. rang bmw assist and they said they would flat bed me to a garage or i could drive home below 50mph. hmmm maybe 60-70.
how much did your tyre cost, £300

Well i inflated mine again at the garage just outside of thorpe, reset the run flat computer and headed for home. got bored of doing 50 by the time i got to the M3, so just went along at 70ish. Didnt have time to do anything about it yet.
So it's done so far...
M3 J3 --> Thorpe
Thorpe --> Poole
Poole --> Southampton
Southampton --> Poole
And tomorrow it's going to Paultons and back. Since resetting the computer it hasn't sent an alert to me. Interestingly, it pinged after I flawed it out of Fleet services (RS4 in front), and stranger still, last time i flawed it out of a services i got the alert, stopped at the next garage, checked the pressures and reset the computer. (it was dark, so couldnt check).... I did find a small nail in the effected tyre, maybe it's a slow one that seems to not like warming up quickly???
I have been quoted 330 for a new tyre
