Saudi Park AccidentA three-year-old boy died after falling from a train ride at Atallah theme park in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the Arab News has reported.
According to the newspaper, the child’s seatbelt came undone and he fell onto the rails, where he was electrocuted, before another train ran over him.
He later died in hospital.
A relative was quoted asking why the child was allowed on the ride in the first place when it was labelled as being unsuitable for children under five years old.
Atallah Park was closed while police investigated the accident and safety inspectors checked all rides.
This is the first accident I've heard of coming from Saudi Arabia. And sadly it's a most tragic one. I guess as this part of the World expands their amusement industry we should expect to hear of the occasional incident.
