Rollercoaster Models and DVDsHi all,
i have been searching the net for models and DVD's of rollercoasters. The problems is there have been a few sites which are based in America or Germany that charge alot for delivery to the Uk.
1) Does anyone know where i can get some good rollercoaster models in the UK (CoasterDynamix style) also with extras as i would be looking to custom design it.
2) i am looking to boost my collection of coaster stuff. i have Coaster Crazy on VHS which i got when i was a club member but i am looking for DVD's of POV's of coasters, also again has to be a UK supplier. want to avoid EBAY really.
Any help would be appreciated and sorry to be a pain with these requests.
Cheers All

Hi David,
I have used Joyland Books in the past www.joylandbooks.co.uk. This is run by the guys doing the Save Dreamland Campaign. They seem to have a lot of unusal stuff and some second hand books which are out of print now.
Hope that helps

Fellow club member Adrian Whitcombe produced a couple of DVDs with just coaster POV. I couldn't find a direct link from his website
http://www.coasterz.co.uk/index.html but it might be worth contacting him to ask.
I have also produced a few coaster DVDs before, but these are DVDs of club trips with both clubs I am a member of. They do include some POV (where filming was allowed) as well as off-ride. Not sure if that is of help.
David.

www.themeparkreview.com has by far the best videos and POV out there on the net. Problem is they are based in the USA and do charge $10 for shipping. But if you end up ordering a few DVD's in one go then surely that price isn't too bad considering its the same no matter how many you buy?
Alternatively, you can download some of their videos from their store:

You might just want to try and check what the quality of these are though as they do appear like they have been optimised for mobile phones and iPod/iPhones

I can recommend David Ellis video's, he has the best POV ever on an RCCGB trip, the Outlaw thru the station. We rode it and did not believe it happened, David filmed it, a classic.

He also did a great Florida Fun Fest dvd, shame he is not on more of the USA trips.
