Rip Ride Rockit

Got some more info on Rip Ride Rockit during the weekend.
It will cater for 1950 riders/hour
The trains will have colour changing LED lighting panels around the whole circumference.
Each seat is fitted with a camera.
Each seat has 150w sound system.
Riders will be able to choose which track they want to listen too during the ride from a touch screen panel in the lap bar. There is a choice of 5 songs classified as
Classic Rock / Metal
Pop / Disco
Rap / Hip Hop
Country and Western
Movie Sound Track

Studying the model of the layout it appears there won't be any inversions, the large loop will be the Worlds tallest non inverting loop. The coaster has what can only be described as 2 turn arounds, one is a Bayern Curve and the other a sexy looking over banked downwards Bayern Curve.

Will upload a couple of track shots tomorrow.

Fantastic another dark ride.

Where is this ?

It will be great for anyone who likes music.

Rip Ride Rockit isn't a dark ride, it's a new roller coaster currently being built at Universal Studios Florida. These photos were taken at the Maure Sohne factory in Munich at the end of September.

Still looks great though.

I just thought it might have been a dark ride as it looks as so it is indoors.

Just found some more information at http://www.dayoutdaily.com/?p=287

Good news on the restraints

Guests begin their adventure when they slide into the bucket seat of the specially designed X-CAR.  The X-CAR’s wheelbase is short enough to allow for the tight, intricate maneuvers that only Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit will deliver.  The vehicle features stadium-style seating so that everyone has an unobstructed view.  And there is no over-head/pull-down restraint system.  Instead, a revolutionary lap bar allows for unprecedented freedom of movement.

Looks like the throughput is going to be good too

Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit features the country’s only operating moving roller coaster load platform – meaning it uses a people-mover-style conveyer belt to get people to their vehicles so that riders and vehicles never come to acomplete stop.  This allows vehicles to leave the station every 23 seconds.

As long as the Wonderland SkyRider op's don't staff it - they are skilled at slowing down any ride loading system.
