Quick Hello & requesting BPB help

Hello everyone im Joseph and joined the club officially back in Febuary/March time and so far have enjoyed reading airtime. Sounds like you have alot of fun on trips and ERT sounds very exciting indeed. I will hopefully be able to make the Oakwood trip this year as I have heard very good things about Megafobia.

I also have abit of a question regarding the size of the seats at BPB. I tried to put this in the trip planning section but I dont have the access to that part of the forum yet. So here it goes, im planning on meeting up with some american family & friends who are over here for a few weeks and then moving onto Europe. I thought BPB would be a good theme park to take them to, however a few of them are on the large side.

Now im chunky myself but Ive never had a problem with any of the rides, but I havent been for about 2/3 years. Obviously their weight wont be a problem but their waist size could be so I was just wondering if any of you have any idea what the restrictions on the seats are. Ive looked on the official site and there is nothing about it. A couple of them are about 20 stone give or take a few pounds, so was just thinking it might not be worth the visit if they cant fit on the rides.

Any information would be greatly appreciated, as its alot of money and effort to make the visit to BPB if some of them cant ride.

Hope to see you all on a trip soon enough!

Hi Joseph and welcome to the RCCGB forum Smile

I am on the large side myself, the last couple of years I seem to have just piled the weight on, and do find it hard to enjoy some of the parks at the moment.  I went along to the Blackpool Bash this year, and I was able to do a few attractions.  I would say Infusion is a big no no as it has over the shoulder restraints as does Iceblast.  But the majority of other attractions should be ok, if a little tight, like the Grand National.  Avalanche and all of the dark rides will be fine.  On the Plasure B\eaches official website their should be a link to guest services or Customer Services telephone number, and they should also be able to give you any help you should need, and I personally have found that compared to alot of other parks, Blackpool does seem alot more helpful.

Hope this is of some help and welcome again

Hi Joseef,

And welcome to the board! I have similar problems because of my height. As Ian said most of the rides should be ok, but the ones with OSR will be a problem. For me Revolution is always a tight fit because of the length of the seat belt. I would take a guess that the majority of rides will be ok.

Have fun and welcome again.

Hi Joseef

As a larger lady I don't have a problem with Infusion, but do find the Grand National and Big Dipper a bit of a squeeze. The Big One has also been a problem at times.
