Recently one of my work colleagues was left stranded in Lanzarote due to the collapse of XL Airways. This could affect all of us in the future and aparently it only costs an addition £1 to the cost of flights to get the protection.

There is an online petition to try and get the government to ensure all passengers are protected in the future. I'd be greatful if you could add your details to the petition and broadcast this to all of your friends and colleagues so we can get them to act. The link is http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Airflights/
