Yes I agree with you Andy, you can go on rides like that anytime there. I was hoping it would be something more exciting than a log flume and anyway I didn't think that the new Pleasureland would be a permanant attraction.

It is very sad to see what Amanda did to the place. But we need to support the place, maybe it will improve. Last year it was a pile of pants though. Chavy staff and looks like hell.

I drive past it every now and again and although the club is about supporting parks and rides , the place looks a mess.

I will try and get there in the next week to see what there is and let you know if it worth a visit

I was in Southport yesterday so we had a walk through New Pleasureland.  Its still a big load of rubbish.

They seem to have halved the land they are using and the looping coaster that was present last year has gone.  They just have about 4 kiddie coasters now which are not worth riding in my opinion.  The log flume was quite big but nothing to write home about.

If you are thinking about going there on the way to or way home from Blackpool, maybe you should change your plans and find somewhere else to go...!

Thanks for that, saves waisting time

One of the coasters at Southport is the Clown coaster that was removed from Blackpool... so whats that, The Clown, 2 identical big apples (except the colour) and the Indiana Jones ride.

Hmmm... not a good line up. Interestingly, i was looking at Google maps today, and the picture for Southport is obviously several years old as it still shows the old park in all its old glory..... memories now, so have a look before the satellite passes over taking pix!

There was some kind of kiddie Go Gator coaster but it was powered with the power cable attached to the train from above.. wierd!  Never seen anything like that before...

There are several of them in the country, Flamingoland, to name one.

They have the Indy Ride, the Big Apple, the Clown from Blackpool and a Go Gator and thats it. The other Big Apple has been removed.

It was a travelling Go Gator coaster owned by Steven Hill. Speaking to the operator it was due to leave Southport Sunday evening for another fair somewhere. It travells about all over the place and was last ridden by Smiler at the Swindon fair not so long ago.

Other coasters : Indiana Jones, Big Apple & Clown Coaster (ex Blackpool) I noticed that there was only 1 of the 2 big apples present on site.

Bye bye river caves - I loved that ride. Sad
Happy Helen

That is terrible news, although I have never been to Southport.

I'm sure it was a great ride.

The Wildcat Coaster is being rebuilt at Pleaseureland, Southport

As the attached photographs show, the overall theming isn't up to much, but at least it's a ride.
