ghost trainhas any one tried this ghost train?
THE ghouls have arrived in Blackpool – and they'll be putting the frighteners on Fylde folk until March.
Carnesky's Ghost Train is the latest attraction to hit the coast and it's now open to the public.
The Gazette was invited along to get a taste of the ride and prepare readers for the nightmare that's in store should they dare to climb on board.
Ghost train founder Marisa Carnesky told VIP guests at the attraction's launch at its new home at the town centre Winter Gardens she had first come up with the idea eight years ago.
"People told me you could never mix a ride like this with live performances, magic, circus, theatre and a story," she said.
"When it first went on tour it was a mere shadow of what you see now.
"It is thanks to the wonderful spirit I have found in Blackpool that we have been able to make into the fantastic ride it is today.
"I cannot thank Blackpool Council, the Illuminations Department and the wonderful, wonderful performers involved enough.
"It is a ghost train with all the traditional shocks and excitement, but it also tells a story and has a heart and a soul."
The train is open Tuesday to Saturday until the end of March. On Friday to Sunday the attraction opens between 2pm and 9pm, all other days from noon to 7pm.
