This is great news.

Tripsdrill is a fantastic park and also, the aforementioned lack of woodies in Germany.

Cant wait!!

Sounds like it's going to get some good themeing too. Should be interesting. The only thing is I'm not a fan of the Gerstlauer trains, but I won't let that give me any preconceived ideas. Roll on 2008.

Spaeaking about woodie being rare in Germany, just got back from riding Callosas at Hedie Park. Lovely ride.

Be great to go and do all German parks. Plus wood is Flammmmmmmmmm..............Good!
Happy Helen

I expect woodies in Germany are very rare. It would be good to do all German parks.

I know that Alton Towers is supposed to be having one in 2008.

Its not going to be next year by the look (or lack of) things at Alton Towers with regards to putting in the footers they would have to have had by now if putting in a ride for next year.

At this moment the Alton Woodie looks as far away as ever, if I was to take a guess I think Flamingoland may just be the next UK park to put in a woodie

At Loopathon it was announced that all plans for a woodie have been put no the back burner. Merlin have other things in mind first and a woodie certainly isn't a priority.

Why is it just about every other country in the world adds woodies except the UK.

Der Mammut is now complete and there is an onride video of it here:

I think it looks like a great coaster! Smile  I really like the look of that first drop and the tunnel at the end. It seems to be slightly slow in places but that might just be the camera.

Yeah, that 1st drop looks great.

Here is another POV
