Worlds of DiscoveryEarlier today Anheuser Busch announced a new 4 park project in Dubai. Recently the collection of parks in Florida were renamed Worlds of Discovery well now there will also be a Worlds of Discovery in Dubai
The 4 new parks will be Aquatica (water park, first one opened this week in Florida), Busch Gardens, Sea World and Discovery Cove.
Possibly the most impressive part is where the parks are being built. All four will be on the Palm Jebel Ali, the world's largest man-made island that is part of a multi-billion-dollar development in Dubai. The specific part of the island that the parks are being built on is in the shape of a killer whale and known as "The Crown".
The project is being funded by property developer Nakheel PJSC with the Busch entertainment brands being used under license.
Phase one is expected to open in 2012.

Thanks for that Marcus
Does anybody know if Busch Gardens Tampa will have another name change from Busch Gardens Africa or is it to remain unchanged?

I thought this was cool looks like a club trip to Dubia in the future is on cards. But be warned I heard somewhere the other day that all Prescription drugs are not allowed. Thats me not going then.
This is another one of those everything big scale for this country thee Palm Islands are huge and a theme park at the end will be good. Are they not also building a Formula 1 theme park to.

As far as I'm aware it will remain called Busch Gardens Africa, just the whole collection of parks in Florida are now called Worlds of Discovery Florida.

It will be amazing to see what they are going to build in the parks. Its such a feat of engineering to keep the sands in place to support the buildings let alone a Killer Whale tank or 200ft looping coaster. I hope they make another follow up programme showing the building of this island similar to the one they did on the main part of the palms.
