Well the 2008 season was here and started at Alton towers. The day was wounderfull cold but great weater. The first stop was Spinball with only 4 cars on but the que was only bout 5 mins. 2 or 3 rides were done then was on to the beastie. The first public riders of 2008 and the great guy on there let us go round 5 times Laughing

. A long walk was needed to get to Nemesis and air due to the paths shut casue of the building of splash battle. The contruction still has along way to go. The ride does seem rather small and still tones of lake left over. The rides track is very different to the flamingo land one there useing log flume style ones. The area still looks like alot of work needs doing. Nemesis had only one train and still no que which was great. Was great to get back on it and was flying as always. Air was still the same no que and was still going well. The blade has a new entrace and que line made but the ride is still in a state paint falling off and bit just everywhere. The cable car station is still being built on the new roff is already on but still a way to go. The park was busy but there ques were very min.

The next thing to do was to get the new merlin passes. Well where do you start. If I had a spare hour then illed write a report lets say Alton messed it right up and there was bout 20 very lucky people that day which was not good for everyone else who was there.

Euro fair was next with £5.99 a wristband it had to be done. A new coaster tick for Jess and others to. The park was well layed out and a great atmosphere due to the park being fenced of etc. The coaster was spinning like mad on all times and the booster was doing much better then the last time it was there. A great weekend was had by all and hope that Thorpe park next weekend can top it off.

Alton Towers and Euro Fair were both great days.

The monorail wasn't running first thing due to having frost on the line so got priority parking (free of charge)

The park opened at around 9:45 and we headed across to Spinball Whizzer which was practically walk on. Then went to Beastie and as smiler said the ride operator let us have 5 goes on it in a row. We then had capers around the farm yard area, but I am upset because they have removed the carrot.

When Chris and Rach arrived we headed across to Nemesis (after being attacked by a pirate along the way)

First stop was Duel, then Richards favourite ride Blade followed by Nemesis, Air and Nemesis again.

Then back across to Spinball for more rides and for everyone to sort their passes out.

The evening ended with Dan, Amy, Rich and Jess back at mine eating pizza and an enormous chocolate cake!

I did my first ever booster! Apart from screaming down Adams ear for the first 5 seconds Embarassed

I enjoyed it.

Didn't think that the Superbowl was running very well though.

I enjoyed the log flume, I didn't get wet....did you get wet smiler? Wink

All in all a great weekend, thanks to everyone who came Very Happy

Euro Fun Fair was good, but i did not enjoy all the travelling i had to do to get there Laughing

Mouse was good, booster was very good and the log flume was ver wet. Super bowl was rubbish though.

Wave swinger was very enjoyable although i dont think the kid he threw up on it will agree.

Nice to to see stevie b making 'friends' in the queue line for the mouse. Queue jumpers will not be tolerated!!!!! hoorah!!

Well done to Bunnie for doing her first booster and well done to all of you who parked in that dodgy car park, as i believe the cars were actually still there at the end of the day?? Theres a first haha . . . Wink
