New MemberHi there!My name's Tim. I'm 21, and I'm currently a student, studying Media Production at the University of Derby. I'm looking to join the club next year, but for now, I thought I'd try and get to know some people. My favourite coaster in the world is Dragon Khan at Portaventura in Spain, and my favourite coaster in the UK is probably Nemesis at Alton Towers. Hi Tim.
Welcome to the forum. You won't regret joining the club as you will be made very welcome, sharing your interests with other like-minded people. I only joined in July however did find it little daunting meeting 300 people at the Loopathon, on my own, however have made quite a few friends already. I have sent my forms off the the USA 2010 trip and am really looking forward to the American Parks, so I am in for the long haul. (in more ways than one) I am just a little (!!) bit older than you at 58 but one of the new members at Alton Towers was only 13 weeks. I don't believe she has been on a roller coaster yet. Age ranges from a few months to over 70 so there is a broad sprectrum of people. Robin |

I've only been to America once, on a school trip to NYC. I took the chance to go on Cyclone at Coney Island, and that was pretty cool. Thanks for all of the welcome messages everyone!  I look forward to meeting you all at events throughout the year!

Hi Tim, welcome to the board.
Hope you enjoy posting here. You will really enjoy the club trips, I am recently new to the club too and I have been to Oakwood, Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Alton Towers, I was going to go to Drayton Manor last year but the weather was so bad I decided to give it a miss. Have you been to any of those parks ?, I have also been to Thorpe Park, Chessington, Flamingoland and many others. |
