Mumbo Jumbo v Saw?Following on from the Summer Bash. What do you like better Mumbo Jumbo or Saw?
Sure, the theming on Saw is pretty good, but I think the actual ride is not as fun as Mumbo Jumbo.

It's got to be Mumbo Jumbo for me
I did like SAW, and the theming does add to the experience. But the drop does not seem as spectacular as Mumbo Jumbo's. And I just loved the way Mumbo Jumbo takes some of its elements so slowly - that added to the experience for me.

I prefer Saw, mainly because I found Mumbo Jumbos restraints terribly uncomfortable.

Like both of the rides but Mumbo jumbo i found a bit uncomfortable due to the shoulder restraints but other than that mumbo jumbo is a good ride. Saw is the better one out of the 2 for me personally.

It showed me the results and didn't let me vote. Or i would have voted for Saw because Mumbo Jumbo was over rated, uncomfortable and the park ruined both ride times on Saturday. Saw every time.

I voted for Mumbo Jumbo. Although I've never ridden it nothing can be as bad as Saw, except for Rattler and Gouderix. Saw is the only coaster to have left me with injuries that took several days to recover from.

Mumbo Jumbo for me. It's a great fun ride with unique features.
Saw is "just another Eurofighter", and after all the hype, I was dissapointed with the theme on it. OK, so maybe I was spoilt with Dollywood's Mystery Mine, however - that has set the benchmark for eurofighter themeing.
Stevie B - what did the park mess up on Saturday? Riding was scheduled to begin from 15:30 (which it did), and the ERS was ontime too. OK, there was a bit of confusion to start with, but in the end, they let people through the gates until 20:00, so well over the advertised hour. I also recall, that the SAW ERS was over an hour late starting in the evening, and the ride over an hour late starting in the morning - so i think FL did well to be fair to them.
The shoulder restraints could be padded a bit more, given that there is alot of inverted time spent on them, but they are still a heap better than ear bashing Vekoma SLC ones

By far Mumbo Jumbo, I found the restraints very comfortable and the whole ride experience more enjoyable. The drop on Mumbo is very noticeable that it goes under itself where as Saw you don't really feel it.
Also after the indoor section of Saw the transition between elements is very abrupt and too fast. I feel you are thrown around too much.
I think now the hype of Saw has gone away I look at the themeing and feel it could have been better.

Mumbo Jumbo for me too. More fun than Saw, being the first in Europe. Some great elements, especially the dive loop.

From the second we lined up at the meeting time we were given by Nev, we were spoken to rudely by the guys working the entrance to the ride. That is unless you are called Andy Hine or had a small winners ticket. The Que was an ever moving shuffle of club members acting like children, not that you would know because at no time did you wait in the line! So between the attitude of the people "In the right place at the right time" and the friends and other members we lined up with. Plus the park staff, who did not even communicate with each other, it ruined the whole experience.
Then we got to the ERS which had to be the worst club ERS i`ve done so far. No atmosphere and by the time we were going to get into the fun we were all blocked off again at the entrance.
All that for a ride which was over rated and not comfortable to ride at all. Maybe it could have used the shoulder restraints used on the SLC at Morleys Piers (The Great Nor`easter). They were actually nice to ride in.
You asked me lol.
On the topic of staff at the park. The young guy working the Sky Flyer thing was a really friendly happy guy. He made up for so much. Just felt the staff all over the park were not up to theme park standard. Better placed in a chavey fun fair if you ask me, maybe that's what they are after? Its sad because its a great park otherwise. I enjoyed the day with friends and the other rides. Just found all the above annoying. Strangely enough Lightwater Valley the next day was for once the better park.
Plus the Ultimate is a much better ride than that ugly looking, painful to ride Mumbo Jumbo. The drop was okay.

Totally agree with the comments about FL staff. They were not the happiest bunch! One bloke even asked if I wanted his job because he hated it. Shocker really.
LWV seemed better, except the miserable woman on The Ultimate (the one in the control box).
Strange to say this, but they could learn a thing or two off Six Flags!

Are they smiling because they're thinking 'glad it's you riding it rather than me'

Mumbo Jumbo was way better than Saw, it's just so fun (and you don't get whiplash..)
But I have to agree that the staff at Flamingo Land are really rude and unhelpful; didn't think much of the other rides either.. The disc-coaster was a real puke-fest!

I have not been on Mumbo Jumbo yet, so i cant compare the two . . . . however, a boomerang Vs Saw, then, yeah, you all know which is best . . .
Bommerange!!! (Matt will get that )

A trip to Thorpe last week completely changed my mind on this one! Saw seemed to be running loads smoother and has become one of my faverote coasters ever! It's way more exciting and re-ride-able than Mumbo Jumbo.
