Millenium CoasterI have just read on another forum that Fantasy Island have put in planning permission for another 96 market stalls using some of the car parking area.
On the plans submitted Millenium Coaster seems not to be there anaymore, so it begs the question.
Is it an oversight or may it be up for removal?

Thats 96 more stalls of complete rubbish then. There is more stalls then there is rides now and everyone sells the same all over the park.
They are digging up the far end of the carpark at the moment.

I did hear when we were there that the Millenium just doesn't pay for itself because people are only interested in the Jubilee. They are bit pricey so it makes sense I guess?!

The problem is that pay to ride is over priced this day in age. I was looking at a lot of the rides and I must say £1.80 for the kids ride was to high when all 4 of you have to ride. £3.99 for Jubilee was off the planet.

Its shame to hear this news, this used to be a park that had lots of potential but sadly its dwindled away ! Millenium coaster is a great ride, one of the best from vekoma, hopefully it will go to another UK park which has a few Vekoma coasters already ?!

That will be Flamingoland then
I too like this ride. It's the smoothest Vekoma I have ever ridden. Ok, it's a basic layout, but it is going round a bigger version of X What's the point's pyramid, with a bottle of coke on the top

I agree with Andy and Lee - Its one of the smoothest Vekoma's i have ridden also and i think its a great ride - just too expensive to 'actually' ride.

I also agree with Andy, Lee and Adam. It is a good Vekoma and a shame if it does go. I wonder if any other park will be able to use it as it has an odd layout which suits Fantasy Island.
Asfor the cost it is very high for one ride, but for most of the other rides you can buy standard tokens and there are usually BOGOF vouchers all over the place. I think we even found some on the bar inside fantasy island!!

I'd expect that's a title Alton Towers would love. Perhaps that's what's going to replace the Corkscrew.
