Kennywood sold

Kennywood Owners Approve Sale to Parques Reunidos

The descendents of the Pennsylvania park’s founders voted overwhelmingly in favor of the sale to Parques Reunidos based in Madrid, Spain.  The transaction must be approved by the Federal Trade Commission and a state agency in Connecticut.  The sale also includes Idlewild Park & Soak City in Ligonier, Pennsylvania; Sandcastle Waterpark in West Homestead, Pennsylvania; Lake Compounce in Bristol, Connecticut; and Story Land in Glen, New Hampshire.

This is another big chian buying up parks then. They own some big places and Aquapolis, the best waterpark on the Costa Dorada!!
