IMPORTANT - USA 2009 ~ Stand Behind The Yellow Line
EARLY ANNOUNCEMENT & SPECIAL OFFER
"USA 2009 ~ Stand Behind The Yellow Line"
Saturday 6th June – Sunday 21st June
With prices getting sky high I have had a few problems sorting out next years USA trip. As you know I like the trips to offer the best value for money but without cutting any corners! In particular the airfares have increased by over £150 since this years trip and the coach rental has gone up a lot due to the price of fuel in America. So I have had to re-jig the early itinerary and remove a couple of the parks that would have needed drives of 300 miles (each). As a result the tour is now a bit ‘tighter’ on the journey times with no really long drives. I have also added a couple of replacement parks that I was going to skip past! The final price has not yet been confirmed but should be under £2000.
Now here is a special deal for those of you interested in going irrelevant of the price! Read on....BA have offered me some seats NOW, for £100 off. But I have to pay for them in full (as soon as!). So, here is the offer. If you are interested in going, I will guarantee your booking (i.e. no draw), and reduce the price of the trip by £100 (the BA saving), but you will have to book now. You will need to do this by sending a deposit of £500. This will instantly confirm your place on the trip. However you must understand the following: The deposit is not refundable (as it will be going straight to BA and the tickets will not be transferable at all). You will NOT be able to change the flights in anyway (the offer is only for the flights the main group is booked on) and of course you will have to pay the remainder in line with the rest of the group (January & March).
The trip itself will take place between Saturday 6th June – Sunday 21st June. You will fly from Heathrow to Washington and return to Heathrow from Toronto. Parks include, Busch Gardens Europe, Kings Dominion, Six Flags America, Wildwood Piers, Atlantic City, Lake Compounce, Six Flags New England, Six Flags Great Escape, Waldameer and Canada’s Wonderland, plus a few more! The price will include flights, transport, hotels and park entry (with ERS’s) and various lunches. There will also be some sightseeing in Toronto on the last day.
Full details will be announced as soon as everything has been confirmed.
The special offer is only available for a limited time and for a limited number of seats so act quick if you would like a guaranteed space. Please ensure you have adequate travel insurance though as the £500 is not refundable.
Please e-mail me (andy@rccgb.co.uk) if you are going to pre-book and put "USA 2009" in the subject bar.

I've been lucky enough to visit several of the parks on next years trip and feel I should mention a few of the amazing coasters on offer.
Ravine Flyer II The best woodie from Gravity Group, I bet this turns out to be the highlight of the trip.
Volcano The Blast Coaster is a superb launched suspended coaster, think Wicked Twister but full length coaster.
Appolo's Chariot and Behemoth are a pair of superb B&M Hyper's that are bound to prove popular.
Big Bad Wolf is a superb swing coaster with a wonderful diving swoop over the lake.
Boulder Dash is a legendary woodie that has just got better thanks to a major retracking.
There's loads more but for me these are some of the msot memorable coasters I've ever ridden. There's also plenty of superb flat rides too, especially at Canada's Wonderland.
Oh and guess I better mention a Superman steel coaster that a few people seem to rave about.

Wow - bit of a surprise heads-up post from Nev (so glad I checked in this evening). Ravine Flyer II and all the other beauties - here I come - woohoo!
Guess it's time to fire-up the email client.

I saw your FB post earlier about USA 2009 and thought of that when I saw Nev's post - sixth sense indeed, and I also agree with your latest FB post.
Here's me so eager to 'coast' over those roads on Ravine.

Maybe it was an omen lol

Superman Ride of Steel at Six Flags America. A very good Intamin hyper. I wonder if Nev will include Darien Lake so you can ride the mirror image Super Man Ride of Steel, now just called Ride of Steel. Not sure if there's any other decent Intamin hypers on the trip, nothing I'd get excited about anyway.

Did I Mention how good Ravine Flyer II is.
I have to admit I really was non plused with SROS at Maryland! still the guy wearing his superman boxers over his trousers complete with syliva dribbling from his mouth made up for it!
SROS at New England how ever thats a different story!

I forgot about when Phil got mixed up over which order to put on his underwear and trousers.
SROS Maryland wasn't all bad, in fact the whole aprk was pretty good, Wild Thing was a pretty nifty woodie from memory. For me SROS at New England was a HUGE disappointment, I guess it had been over hyped for me.
Have to admit I liked the rest of the park to bits, just think they should rename it Superman - not as good at New England!

Now that's a generous offer - as I would have expected.
But I'm planning to see a mate in San Francisco prior to the trip - so that's me ruled out. I'm hoping to fly from Manchester too.

With such an offer it would be rude not to accept it. Well that is my excuse for going.

Sent mine and put USA 09 I think Clare wrote it out. I could hear her swearing from a mile away while posting the cheque for me

The offer must end on Sep 16th, so if you haven't sent your cheque yet, please do this weekend and e-mail me (andy@rccgb.co.uk) to say you have sent it.
If you already have, don't worry because I've had loads and yours is probably there. I'll e-mail everyone who's cheques I have received over the weekend to confirm.
