Iaapa 2008Just returned from orlando for iaapa show . Went via las vegas for a few days rest ! Sad to report that nascar coaster is closed till may because of lack of customers said the person in the shop . could tell by rust on track she has,nt run for a while. Had a trip up the strasphere but gave the rides a miss. Arrived in orlando for first day of show and got to say it was the quitest first day ive ever seen . Not to much happening next year but seems a lot for 2010 from what peaple tell me. Sad to report a couple of companys have gone including l and t who i bourght a ride off just 2 years ago. On sat did a mega 3 park day ending at epcot for a round the world drinking tour with a few park owners who remain nameless ! !

Always a shame to hear a company go bust, which ride did you get from them?
Kind of related, on Screamscape they are reporting that the most interesting thing at IAAPA show was not the rides "but rather a crazy looking giant orange box called a Haystack Dryer". Do they not have this in the US until now? All the merlin parks seem to have them.

L and T surplied the mini flume ride . Cant say ive seen hairdryer in any american park proberly due to fact they have far better weather when there open. Best new thing in show was climbing frame on steel frame and the first one in britain will open in meadow hall shoping centre i beleave in early jan. Like go ape without trees and a lot better thourght out .
