Historical memorabilia, guides and photos!Hail all!
Whilst I was digging through an old box of Warhammer 40,000 bits 'n' pieces this afternoon, I unexpectedly came across the Chessington WoA visitors guide from 1989CE - Which features amongst other interesting things Circus World, 5th Dimension (Now the Forbidden Tomb), the Zoo in it's main role before CWoA became a theme park, and a nice little pre-ad for the Vampire too!
Anyway...Guessing that at least a few people might be interested in it, I've scanned it in and uploaded it to Windows Live Skydrive for ye all to download and view if ye wish. Admittedly, the even numbered pages are upside-down (They wouldn't fit in the scanner normal way up) and rotating them caused them to swell considerably in filesize terms, so I'll leave it to ye all to rotate the pages at thy end.
Download: Chessington WoA park guide 1989
*.ZIP file. 35.2Mb download. Click the "zipped" folder icon on the left of the page to start downloading. Windows Live Skydrive may require MS Internet or Windows Exploiter browsers for the download to work.
Anyhow...Back to my original task: Organising and preparing about 8,500 pages of hard-copy for scanning and OCRing into my PC! I've got some other interesting theme park stuff knocking around here and there though (Including Colossus and N:I construction photos, IIRC) and if I find it again I'll scan, upload, and post about it in here!
Farewell for now, and enjoy the guide!

Anyone with a flatbed scanner can do it with time and a little patience!
I mainly stuck it up here for anyone who has a nostalgic interest in parks, and wouldn't mind having a flick-through the guide itself - Especially as I imagine that copies of the 1989CE one are a pretty rare find nowadays.
Anyhow...I'll try and upload any other interesting stuff at some point in the future. I'll be updating the original post with a list o' links to content as it's uploaded.
