HarnessHi Guys,
I did a nip upto Blackpool again in my week off and I actually feel like Infusion broke my ear. Lol.
So on this subject I was thinking...
What is the best car (not as in a Ford) you have been in? The most comfortable restraint? Also what is the worst you have ever had? Lap bar and over head included.

My fave type would prob be the B&M 'clam shell' type (Nitro, Apollo's Chariot etc )as they dont squash you, they dont restrict your movement and they leave you very open and free for a great ride experience.
These are designed for non invereting coasters though . . . so no ear bashing then either woop woop!!!

I'm with Adam , those restraints are sweet. Like Behemoth.
Arms out, legs out, not a care in the world!
The trains on Phantoms Revenge are very comfy, similar to the
B&M model.

Having not rode that style of train I would go with the S&S style restraint because they are tall friendly and the height is adjustable so no being squashed in!
Other than that its probably the B&M flyer trains as they seem a lot more roomy than most.

Adam and Pete's recommendations are spot on. Apollo's Chariot, Behemoth and rides that incorporate similar restraints are always good.
There was a ride on the US trip whoose restraints were at times a little uncomfortable for me - I think it was Bizzaro. The ride op's were sometimes over-zealous in the restraint push-down procedure and it was a very tight fit into the lap and onto the legs.
I've not had a problem with Infusion. Possibly it just depends how each person fits into a particular seat.

Yeah, those restraints on G-force get worse as the ride goes on...

I don't understand why people feel the need to staple you into restraints. People generally pull the restraint down to where they feel comfortable. The ops are just checking they have locked so a simple pull and seat belt check would be enough.
Interestingly on Tuesday they managed to start Vortex with one of the lights out, either it wasn't on, or went out as it started. Not sure.

on non looping coasters then it's the above mentioned B&M flyer restraints although on most GCI's I find their T bar restraint very good. I also think the restraints on The Ultimate are very good. Looping wise by far the best so far have been Schwarzkopf lap bars as were fitted to The Thunderlooper.

Here's my loves and my hates regarding restraints...  - Best overall design: B&M Flyers (I.E: Air, Tatsu),
- Best for non-loopers: PTC 2-across lap bar (Big Dipper, Grand National prior to fire),
- Worst conventional: Intamin twisters (Colossus),
- Worst without question: Maurer X-Car clamshells (G-Force)

Really? I always find that I bang my knees on the big bit where the restraint pivots. Although I have since been told that I should ride with my legs crossed to avoid that.
