Gulliver's Warrington & New Pleasureland Southport.

This was a trip we had planned as Thomas hit is 110 cm or 1.1m to those who go by the norm. Well today he was so we decided on Warrington as it was a park that was easy to get to and enough to entertain the children for long enough. We set of in the morning earlyish and got there for opening time.

First ride of the day was suppose to be the Antelope wooden coaster but that never opened when the park did. Never mind a pirate ship near by to take over and the kids enjoyed.

I must say this was one rough kiddy woody I have ridden it snapped you around done that now and Thomas loved it as well a new credit for all.

The second credit was the Runaway Train not that it was very run away it was a kiddy coaster but a credit for all again.

I must say that this park in places looks very neglected and run down. Pretty poor for a park I must say.

We wandered around most of the morning had lunch which I must say was good value and health as well a lovely carvery to be had by us all.

Last coaster was the Wild Mine ride a bigger coaster for Thomas but by no miens scary in anyway for a boy like Thomas who said he wanted to go again when he came of.

So this was a good trip but we left early as nothing left to do on leaving we said we would credit/scratch Southport as we would not do it again.

What a dump is all I can say over priced and a really bad state of affairs. No consistence on ride prices. Some were 2 Tokens (£2)  or 1token (£1) but they were all kiddy coasters only 1 was 1 token when asked why difference he said mine go's around 3 times I said clown coaster went around 5 times and that was 1 token. Like I said no consistence on price. We did all coasters there including a new Go Gator coaster this was new as not a mark on it. Done the 3 there .
Thomas then did the Waltzers and loved them , mad is my boy anyone who knows him will agree. But the best was the ride which spins in a circle at very high speed and swings out I don't know what it is called said "not for wimps" a insane ride a very fast. Clare hated it but Thomas said again thats my boy and what a ride it was crazy even I would think twice before I rode.

So a great day and a very good coastering had by us all taking good old Thomas to 46 nearly at that 50 mark, I now it is not huge but take in the factor he is only 4 and a half yrs old that is good going in my book.

As mentioned in a previous post, the Go Gator coaster that is currently there is a travelling one and Owned by Steven Hill. It is there until it finds another fun fair to go to or stops becoming profitable to have there.

That is the biggest problem with fairs they seem to travel and you never know if it is new or not.  Laughing

Thanks for that and changed it to the one you mention thanks Matt

I always ask the operator who owns the ride.... that usually works for me Smile

Also, if you are into fun fairs, can i recommend this site.... it has a fun fair reports section which is excellent for locating fairs, the dates, locations and what rides will be there (including the owners) - very useful resource, for getting the scratches in the Travelling Coaster section Smile

Hope it helps...
