I saw that earlier. A horrific incident for the child's family, and a traumatic experience for the ride's staff.

"There would have been a barrier surrounding the rollercoaster but he must have found a way around it."
Mr Miller said the ride operator saw him and rushed to stop him, but it was too late.
"I can't imagine why there was no parent with him," he said.

Very sad indeed - can't help wondering what the parents were doing letting a 2 year old out of their sights at a fairground though.

As a parent myself of young children it don't take much to lose sight of them imho. The biggest problem I find is safety at a fair with regards to fencing is not the same as say Alton Towers is. I just think it is a tragic accident which the family will be blaming themselves for with out everyone pointing the blame finger.
This is not a criticism of what you put more a observational remark

I heard about the accident on Capital Radio this morning. Was even more shocked when i found out it was a Go Gator. Some of my funniest and best memories in the club and with friends is riding the kiddie and mini coasters we are to big for. So sad for the parents and the poor little guy. At that age a fair is such a fun environment and so sad he was able to get into the fence. Sympathies to the parents and the ride operator.
