Fire at SouthportLocal news (Granada TV region), is carrying a story that a major fire broke out at Pleasureland Southport last night.The River Caves have been completely destroyed, but the owners say they will still be open this weekend. The fire brigade say it is being treated as arson. |

I walked through Pleasureland the weekend before the Blackpool Bash and that end of the park has been completely cleared apart from the river caves and the other buildings that were along side it. No rides anywhere near that area of the park!!! Very suspect... |

Personally I suspect this is bored kids messing around rather than anything more sinister. Who has anything to gain from an insurance job? Will there even be insurance on the site? Hasn't the land been handed back to the council? |
