Designed for LifeHail all!
This one literally just came to me out of the blue, and I thought I'd stick it in whilst I was here so that we could try it out!
The basic idea of this game is that ye choose an everyday item, system or process, and then describe (In an amusing way, of course!) what it would be like had it been designed by a profession or body other than the one that actually designed or invented it.
Professions and subject matters are entirely up to ye...But please keep it clean, of course. Also, please ensure that signatures are turned off when posting.
I'll post a couple of examples in the next post to get us started and to give a practical idea of how the game works.
Farewell, and enjoy!

If the Telephone directory had been designed by Microsoft...
All entries would be organised in numerical order, ex-directory numbers would still be listed with a "hidden" variable set, and each years version would be reissued with "updates" every Thursday!
If Wireless Networks had been designed by Civil Servants...
Users would have to submit a properly completed 40-page form (In triplicate) before being allowed to connect. Furthermore, sensitive and confidential networks would still be accessible to everyone on presentation of a "Freedom of Information" request!
If the human reproductive system had been designed by Electrical Engineers...
All required components would have been installed in a unified, standardised interface located in the left foot!

If This forum had been designed by stereotyped railway enthusiasts...
Everyone would be constantly going on about how "Claggy" and "Hellfire" the Dragon Flyer at Camelot is, there'd be continual froth and arguments over how the newer and more modern PTC trains aren't nearly as fast or reliable as the older ones, and everyone would be going on about how they really hope to get a "Class 43" B&M on their next park visit!
