Confronting Queue JumpersThis has been mentioned and is being debated on another forum at the moment and I thought it merited discussion on here.
When at a theme park if someone is queue jumping in one way or another do you confront them or just let them get on with it?
I personally always used to confront queue jumpers as it always used to and still does wind me up.
However due problem at Alton Towers a few years ago I don't bother anymore. Two teenage girls who had pushed through the queue on the RMT tried pushing through us and when I stopped them they shouted to there Dad who was about 20ft away in front of us. He threatened to give me a good doing over and told me to mind my own f**king business. The ride staff who saw all of this and knew the story from what was being said DID NOTHING!!!
So after that I thought why bother. Add to that the state of things in this country these days and its just not worth it to me.

We got many storys to do with que jumpers if there was myself and Jess then I dont tend to bother as much but if there was a group of us then no chance will they get pass us. I cant stand the people who do that when you do confront them yeah they do give you a mouth full but got to be strong about it. My self and Dan had a problem in the stealth que line with about 8 or 9 people when that amount push pass you no chance. All we did was hold the ride up untill the staff did something it held it up for a couple of mins and then the staff will soon do something then.

Queue jumpers really irritate me, it winds people up and puts a bad atmosphere in what is supposed to be a fun place.
The three worst ones i have seen:
1. Nemesis Inferno queue - The whole queue was open so into the bit under the lift hill etc. The queue had shortened and people were still walking round. Another group decided to open the gate and jump a large chunk of the queue and many followed thinking it was the right way, luckily the ride op saw this and made most people move back, except the original person who opened the gate!
2. Port Aventura - Enough said! This is got to be the worst place I have been for queue jumping. The groups in the park just had no concept of how to queue.
3. Again Nemesis Inferno, we were walking through most of the queue as agin it had a shortened queue when a group came running through. Most of them stopped apart from one girl who barged past us. When the queue backed up she kept telling her mates to come through but us and the two girls behind us prevented them from doing so. Eventually she ended up behind us after trying the front row queue but coming back!!

I`m not good with Que jumpers. I like to make a lot of noise and draw a lot of attention to them.
At Drayton Manor, Loopathon there was a group of girls on G-Force just before the ERS. They pushed there whole group in and got mouthy to my objection. So me being me, retaliated with some nasty words. Hey, they Que jumped so they lose my respect and it does not count as being rude. When we got off Nev looked over at me and smiler. I thought they may have said something to him. But why should i be quite with Que jumpers? Especially people who are rude?
Then as all the guys at Adrenaline Week of Alton Towers will tell you, from last Sunday. There was a big group of abusive girls. First they pushed in front of us n the line for food at the chip shop. Then let all the others in. The staff at Alton Towers are so stupid they saw it and did nothing. So i put the counter staff right when i got my food.
Then they were abusive when i told them they were Que jumping. Then because they were blocking the exit they tried one of the girls in our group. She fell and lost all of her food. The girls barely moved. So i had another word.
Then we met them again in the Nemesis line. Once again, some of them were in front of us. They all tried to push past but we blocked them. Once again to abuse on both sides.
Then when we got on the ride there was 13 of us. We all got on but the girls pushed in again and stopped one of us. Jeff, On crutches from getting on. So me and Dan got the ride stopped and the staff to remove the girls. I`m glad to say they threw a couple of them off. Letting Jeff take his seat on the ride with us.
Then again leaving the ride we got more abuse. So i went into insult mode. LOL. Then the 13 of us got involved.
I have no sympathy for line jumpers and am to much of a rebel to stay quite. I always have a good fight left in me . lol
Thanks guys for Sunday!

I think many of you know how much I `adore` queue jumpers!!!!! I challenge every one of them.
I still occasionally remember and enjoy the time I got a whole group thrown out of the Stealth queue, when one of them had almost knocked me over forcing his way past. (He was as tall as Stevie B and almost as big.) We caused such a fuss that security soon got called and put on to them.
Oh, and the time 3 young women pushed past me in the Inferno queue to `join their friend`!!! The ride op called for 2 people to fill a row. I said "I`m a single". He said `OK` and I pushed past them to take my rightful place. Hehe!!
