Clarence PierNot sure how well known this is but Clarence Pier in Southsea have obtained planning permission for a 55m Observation Wheel. There is no fixed opening date but it should appear within the next 2 years.

Thats good but suprising news! With the Tower it seems a bit of direct competition and a bit samey but I hope it gets pulled off. Do youanymore detail about where it will go?

I was speaking to one of the managers today for a BBC feature and she only said they have got planning consent and it will be built over the next 2 years. Naturally it will be built somewhere within their land boundary. Sorry I didn't get more info.
