BPB - Tuesday 24th June

WHO WENT

Me
Caroline

Back home after the worst midweek visit I have had in quite a while, the reason I say that is down to a poor ride count for reasons you will see below.

We arrived at 12:20 and the nortn car park had quite a lot of coaches and mini buses which were school children on a day out, so that did not look promising to start off with. But to be fair they were not the problem as they were well behaved.

The park itself was very busy for a midweek day during school term, which is great to see as you dont want the place to be empty all the time or they will never be able to invest.

The main problem came as a result of the nash and avalanche being closed and the parks decision to run PMBO and Infusion on low capacity. The queue for PMBO was around 25-30 mins while the queue for Infusion most of the day was between 25-45 mins. This being the case and with two major rides shut I really feel that BPB should have increased capacity to offer people a better service. Granted the park may have been a lot busier than expected but they had enough staff for an increase in capacity, I just got the feeling that it is set in stone that no matter how long the queue gets midweek the rides will only run on low capacity. Another example being Bling which had queues going back down the ramp but they only chose to open 4 of the 6 arms!!

Anyhow onto the ride count

PMBO - 1
Steeplechase - 3
Rev - 2
Rollercoaster - 1
Gold Mine - 1
Monorail - 1
Ghost Train - 1
Alice ride - 1
Derby Racer - 1
Iceblast - 3
Wild Mouse - 8
Big Dipper - 1
Space Invader - 1
Infusion - 3

TOTAL RIDES = 28

HIGHLIGHTS

- Thomas on Monorail, just the person you need to make you feel better on a below average day.
- Debbie on Infusion, such a great ride op.
- Trixie on Wild Mouse, this Mouse flies.
- Iceblast, running very well this season and the best yet today.

LOWLIGHTS

- Although PMBO had good speed today it was very rough in quite a few areas of the ride.
- Big Dipper seems to be getting very rough as well.
- Queues for major rides
- Low ride count
