BPB Thursday 17th AprilHere is the trip report I have just posted from today on BPB forum.
WHO WENT
Me,
My mum
also bumped into Martyn, Cathy, James, The Mowbrays, Taran and Co
Yet another superb day on my insane week counting BPB and another great ride count. Today we actually saw some sunshine for a couple of hours but after 4pm it went really cold, thank goodness I resisted the temptation to do Valhalla!!
The park was a fair bit quieter today than yesterday but similar to Tuesday, thankfully there were not as many annoying kids and chavs around today.
RIDE COUNT
Infusion - 12
Big Dipper - 3
Rev - 4
Steeplechase - 10
PMBO - 6
Bling - 1
Rollercoaster - 2
Nash - 8
Space invader - 2
Gold mine - 1
Noahs ark - 1
Iceblast - 4
Total rides = 54
HIGHLIGHTS
- Space invader evac, finally after two years I get and evac and my first ever on space invader. First of all it was great to see the whole ride lit up and great to have to climb down through the ride. We were stuck on the first trim brakes after the first drop and had two sets of vertical stairs to negotiate which were very tricky. My mum was getting very concerned at the prospect but she did great as did the space invader ride team who were both quick and very professional so well done to all on there
- Seeing so many from the guide on park today, saw Chris H from CPB but did not get chance to say hello.
- Superb ride count
- Steeplechase running superb
LOWLIGHTS
- Nash was not on form today at all, it ran pretty slow and smooth.
- PMBO on reduced capacity due to wind so not as many rides as we would have liked
So thats it for another day and we move onto the final day tomorrow, not sure how I will cope next week when I am back at work as this week has been out of this world. I am not sure if this is possible for me being such a BPB fanboy but I am loving the place more and more as the week goes on.

Hi Graham. Was good to see you on Sunday mate.
I just wanted to say, with respect, man you have some dedication to that park.
I mean, i could never do a park more than twice in a row. Not even the Pleasure Beach. By the third day i would be sick of it. Even if Andy Hine did a trip with 3 days at his Knobles or Cedar Point, i`d get sick of it. I need to have something different to do.
No disrespect to the Pleasure Beach or even The Blackpool Guide Forum (Which you know i read).
I know when i did Oakwood a second day after the club trip a few years back, it just felt dead and samey the second day.
I`d be tempted to go on a coaster ticking/Scratching session to a couple of smaller parks. Or de-tour to Flamingo/Vally or Alton or something.
Hats off to you buddy.
