BPB - Sunday 27th JulyWHO WENT

A glorious day for weather once the sun broke through just after lunch, the park was busy but no more so than I would have expected at this stage of the season. What could have been a really good day was not helped by a few things that BPB did and a few things that also conspired against them.
For starters Infusion opened at 11am and was running just one train , luckily we got on the first train of the day but by the time we had got off the queue was starting to build.
We then went to go on PMBO but that was having problems and was shut, luckily there was no queue for the rev so we went on there. After that we tried the big dipper but it was still broke down as was the nash.
Ok break downs happen and are very unfortunate but in the first half hour of the rides being open there were very few rides to go on and people were just wandering with not much to do.
The things that really annoyed me was Infusion on one train to start off with, when the nash, big dipper and PMBO were already down. I also noticed the following.
- PMBO, 2 trains on as per norm but due to poor operation the train in the station rarely left until the train on course had hit the first station brakes. I calculated it was running 24 trains per hour or a capacity of just 840. But seeing as they could not be bothered filling empty seats it would not have even reached that. Maybe if the ride staff were not so busy pratting around with water pistols trying to impress young females the queue may have been less!!
- Nash, only 2 trains in operation leading to a huge queue. But maybe it had something to do with the breakdown as it did not open until 2pm though.
- Avalanche, A hot sunny weekend at the end of July and it is on one train operation, I kid you not!!! For obvious reasons we did not bother with it at all.
There were also lengthy breakdowns to Space Invader and Valhalla which did not help, but as has been said many times on here before the operation of the rides is nowhere near as slick as it used to be years ago.
Ok rant over its ridecount time

- Wild Mouse, it was totally insane. The fastest I have known it for a very long time.
- Rollercoaster, the new train is bedding in and running well. A new lease of life for the rollercoaster without a doubt.
- The Weather, superb day.
- Great to see BPB have a busy day
LOWLIGHTS
- So few rides open early on.
- Poor operation leading to queues that should not have been like they were, why cant our parks have the attitude of the American parks?
- Why is the park shutting so early. It was busy enough to have been open until at least 10pm. At 8:30 the park was still busy.
