Blackpool QuestionsHi Andy,
I just wanted to check some information before I send the form off for Blackpool.
I realise that it will be £30 for members and £33 for non but can you confirm how much I have to pay for my daughters Ella (3) & Alice (1) is it the same price, will I have to get them wrist bands too as they'll only really be using Beaver creek. Also my friends are bring their daughter too who is 9, I presume she'll be the full adult price?
Many thanks

Re: Blackpool QuestionsHail Miles!
I fear that this could be a bit late, but hopefully it'll help ye anyway. | Miles wrote: | | I realise that it will be £30 for members and £33 for non but can you confirm how much I have to pay for my daughters Ella (3) & Alice (1) is it the same price? | I'm not a member of the Club team or anything, but I would imagine that young children (5 years of age or under) are free due to them not being able to participate in the ERS's etc, which account for a large chunk of the price.
The same could apply to the entertainment as well, as a lot of younger children might either be in bed at the time of the comedy acts, or if they are present they wouldn't understand a lot of what's going on.
I'm sure that a member of the Club team will correct me if I'm wrong here, but I can't imagine a charge being payable for children under six, personally...
| Miles wrote: | | Will I have to get them wrist bands too as they'll only really be using Beaver creek. | The wristbands being sold via the trip invite are adult ride wristbands, which wouldn't really be of any use to children of that age. The best option for ye would be to buy them Beaver Creek wristbands on the day, as they're cheaper all round, and there may be an additional RCCGB discount available on them too.
| Miles wrote: | | Also my friends are bring their daughter too who is 9, I presume she'll be the full adult price? | Assuming that she'll be taking part in the ERS's and other club specific events, then she'd probabally have to go at full price. Bear in mind that height is also a factor (I think it's a minimum 1.40m/52in for the Big One) so if she's just under this height, she'd only be able to take part in the Grand National ERS and not the one on the Big One.
Farewell, and hope that this helps ye. My information ius unquantified though, so thy mileage may vary. (E&OE)

You will need to speak to Nev directly about this, as he sets the guidlines.
However our two children have been attending club events (including Blackpool) ever since they were three, and I have always paid full price for them.
I suggest you send a personal PM to Nev to get clarification, as he probably won't address an issue like this in an open forum.

I have spoken to Andy and the basic details are as follows.
If the children are under the height resriction for the ride (IE they are unable to ride during the ERS) and provided that they dont have the lunch then they would be able to attend free. If they are over the height level for the ride they will have to pay full price. If they are too small but want lunch then you will have to speak to Andy directly to get a price.
I hope this makes sense
